DVD's should have incentives like extra footage or a few extra videos or something.

I donīt know about Find the Room because it was deleted before i could watch it, but turn to clouds and making new memories (and the TJA twitter/google docs) were just used to build up the characters and story that leads to Turn the Memories, which has atm just 3 videos (due OOG reasons) but they will continue it and make something big.

2 main reasons:

OOG drama, usually of the, "oh shit, something I posted is going to get me in trouble," variety.

Your series gets run into the dirt by slenderfans or the rest of the verse for being ridiculous, or because you acted like an utter fuckwhistle to everyone (see Gamejacking for more details)

There have been instances where channels/blogs are deleted as plot progression, AKA "oh look, a proxy did it", and it is pretty infuriating indeed. Then there are the people who just give up and shut everything down. It's how we lost gems like 2080 and The Dreaming Room, unfortunately.

Also, what happened to MDT has nothing to do with the creators being a 'fuckwhistle' or the series being shit, it's that the series is awesome enough someone decided to be an utter douche. Not the creators fault at all.

On topic: The hell would deleting a series be a plot point? I know that MDT had their channel removed OOG, but they covered their tracks well eough to make it seem IG, but the videos also go reposted to a new channel. Why would you just plain delete them and not have the character re-upload, even if it was a proxy?

AKA when someone, either an audience member or another creator tries to insert themselves or their series into someone else's work, without talking OOG first to clear it. There's been some notable examples, but I'd rather not stir those flames...

And yeah, I've never heard of a channel being deleted due to plot, just plot rewritten to fit OOG crap. -Maybe- if the plot involved a gov't takedown, IG of course. At which point I suppose the creator could reupload on a harder to find channel, or put the videos in a ZIP file and distribute it... but the difficulty involved in finding and obtaining the videos at that point would likely kill all but the most popular series out there.

The only one that would fit the Plotwise channel deleting would be FindTheRoom...at least it looks like that ^^
