Man, I would also give that a standing ovation if I got to see that. The only thing missing was Chico Marx.

Actually, dude... I hate to break this to you, but the whole Donald Duck versus Daffy Duck wasn't a taped performance. It was a scene from the 1988 movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Little known fact: That movie is based on a super serious crime novel called Who Censored Roger Rabbit? by Gary Wolf. But um, yeah, sorry, it's just make-believe.

Actually, besides all the scares and the slenderman, it would be a great great thing for Serum Junior because it's going to make him think. He's going to have to make theories to explain to himself why is everything happening. And that, Serum, is invaluable. He's going to be (and most probably he is already, since you are considering making him watch MH) a smart little guy. I already like him Very Happy

Knowledge is power. And knowing is half the battle. It's also a terrible Nicolas Cage movie.
All Nicolas Cage movies are TERRIBLE. It's a law of nature.

Nature, green, trees, (I'm free associating, just like Jeff Goldblum in Independence Day.) trees are somehow connected to the Operator, the Operator hangs out in the forest, where there are trees. Trees are made of wood, wood is what they use to build houses, houses that hold many people are called apartments. An apartment was where Jay was living until someone or something burned it down. Fire-- fire is an element, as is water, earth and wind. The Operator is connected to fire and water in many assumptions, and he lives in the forest, where there's lots of earth and wind. Wind is invisible, you can't see it, the Operator often watches people without them seeing him. Hmm, I might be on to something, here.

A teacher opens a time capsule that has been dug up at his son's elementary school; in it are some chilling predictions -- some that have already occurred and others that are about to -- that lead him to believe his family plays a role in the events that are about to unfold.

Be glad you're missing it.

I remember watching Knowing with my father; to this day we hold that it is one of the worst movies ever created, and we have quite some fun discussing it, although at the time of viewing it pissed the hell out of us.

It's a bit of an experience.

My God, I do have seen it. I had just blocked it off my mind for some reason.

I do love the line "A student movie? You lying piece of..." (punch). As if violence is less damaging than a naughty word!

They don't want to rely on curses, but there are some instances when it's weird/awkward that they don't curse. A good example would be entry 59 when Tim says, "You lying piece of..."

I don't see the problem with saying shit every now and again. Just don't get carried away like Tribe Twelve that makes me cringe with the excessive amounts of cursing.

You know, I thought this too. I'm like "Hey, no swearing, no sex, no excessive violence (at least shown on screen), let's show it to my friend who watches squishy Hallmark movies!"

We watched the first entry, and she didn't even notice that the Operator didn't have a face. It went completely over her head.

I gave up. XD

I'm sure that by the time you'd get her to sit all the way through seasons 1 and 2 she'd say something like: "I'm starting to suspect that tall fellow isn't from around here."

Remember aaaaalllll of those discussions about cursing in months passed? Good times.

But yeah, Trosephim purposefully don't allow curse words (or other inappropriate stuff, as it were), because they feel that such tactics would make it seem like they're relying on such things to make it realistic, and they obviously don't want to seem naive, dependent, etc, etc, etc.

As for why there's no sexual stuff or anything, there's just no place for it, unless you count Slenderman's alleged rapes.
