I'd like to know if anyone has or has a link to any theories on Jay as a different role in the whole thing. I mean obviously he's the center of the series and all, the one making the videos on the channel, but i've always had a weird feeling that he is behind some things, and maybe he has forgotten it. It might explain some questions. Does anyone have any of these theories? i've tried to find one but i couldn't. For example, maybe Alex is one of the good guys, im sure this has been proposed, and he's trying to help Jay? I don't know, im just interested in anything along those lines.

We've discussed the possibility that this is a double-trick and it will turn out Alex really is the good guy, but it's hard to look like the good guy when you're threatening to shoot your friend and sacrificing your other friends to a well-dressed eldritch horror.

However, I'm open to the possibility that Alex is the desperate anti-hero trying to get Oppy to leave him alone, rather than straight up "well, time for my daily sacrifice" evil.

I do think Jay was much more involved in the events of the student film, and that something will come to light showing this. After all, he was apparently being filmed by TTA while the student film was going on (see Exit) so someone knew something about Jay even then.

If I keep going on, though, I'm going to get myself in a muddle and somehow start blaming everything on Tim's sideburns.

Which might wind up being entirely accurate, but you know.

It's still difficult for me to believe that Alex gave those tapes to Jay in order to look innocent... i don't know, it sounds very wrong to me. Like everything we have seen in S1 was a lie. Plus the connection between The Operator and Alex's/Tim's childhood, it doesn't fit with the initial entries where Alex said it was the first time he saw the "tall man". It's so weird.

Sorry if its wrong, english isnt my home language and this is my first post ever here : ) hello lol

I find the "Alex being the anti-hero to save himself from The Operator" theory very plausible, as well as the "someone involved with the original student film project being TTA," but I feel that those theories were already well established.

First time he saw him or first tome he remembered seeing him. Tall man does like to steal your memories...and life.

Makes sense. But isnt it too much coincidence Tim AND Alex got to shoot Marble Hornets together? I mean, both were "Operated" as children... and Brian was the closest to Alex, not Tim, as he stated on S1. Also i read some people especulating about Jessica, because she said once she used to go to Rosswood when she was a kid. I dont know, envolving childhood is still confusing to me

Yeah, she told that she used to go there as a child, but that she did't remember so much things or something like that... and I don't know if I am confused right now, but I think she said that she dreamt she as a child being operated. Am I confused?

If Brian was friends with both Tim and Alex as a child, then the Operator may have been able to find out about Alex and followed him for a while. Tim is the only one who seemed to actually suffer from the Operator as a child, so it may be that the Operator chose to bother him for whatever reason and also decided to check some of his relations for potential future use. Jessica didn't mention any Operator experiences besides dreams, so she may not have encountered him until Jay brought her into it.

Or perhaps the Operator's thing is to just go around stalking children and they tend to just forget about it once they grow up, unless they get involved with him again. If that was the case, Alex and Jessica being stalked wouldn't have been coincidence, they just went through the same thing every/most children go through. Or perhaps just the children in the general area the characters live.

It makes more sense to me that thing about the kids on the same area... but I've got the theory that some of the main characters were in contact with the Operator as children and this is the conection between them and the reason they have met being older. Maybe J hadn't this contact whit the operator as a kid and maybe this is the reason why he is important to solve the problem... I don't know, I am just gessing.

Official captions don't have Tim saying "run" in the tunnel scene. This. Changes. EVERYTHING.

The funny thing is that in Entry #65, the captions DO show that Tim said "RUN!" Confused
