 		This makes me wonder how aware the operator is with technology. did he purposely make sure that message didn't go through? He may not just be some mindless monster. He may actually want something more.

 		That was a damn good entry.

Now we know that the Operator's emotional influence on people is not just towards Alex, who seemed genuine in a lot of season one and then switched to batshit crazy. Jay understood what happened with the tape initially, but after the encounter he lost all rationality.

Hoody also changing his intentions over and over makes a lot of sense now too; the swinging of the wrench at Jay, the coughing fit the had in one of his entries where he lost his pills... Much like Masky, they all seem to become angry or enraged after surviving an encounter with the Operator.


That's what it seems like, at least.
