With regards to the eBay auction... The inscription in the picture states 'that worm' not 'That worm'. Significant?
I think it says "this worm".

I was considering putting in an opening bid, just not sure yet. I did however contact the seller through ebay to ask if he/she could post a couple photos of the notations. I'll let you know if I hear back.

maybe you can ask him to check if there are other notes in the book as well and to send them to you?

Found a quote from said book. Creepy
Quote:
Another class of person sometimes visits me, but I am thankful to say not often. I allude to those whose secret vices come from evil and pander to evil. Furtive eyed, decadent, poisonous growths emanating from the swamp of unspeakable sin, they consult me over mere trivialities, but all the time they hug to themselves the knowledge of their dreadful pleasures, and I can hear them saying inwardly, "Does he suspect me? Does he know?"

The seller isn't willing to post anything more...

Hi,
No; this is one the books unique selling points. So I wont be giving anything away.
Thanks

I didn't ask him to give anything away, I only asked for an example to see what I might be paying for, so with that answer, my decision is made and I won't be bidding. I wish him luck on getting his $241 USD price for the book.
Chedawan, here's a sorta cleaned up version of the inscription.

i thought the book was an original.
It does seem an interesting book. If no one bids for it then i will be bidding for it.
It actually seems a really interesting book. I quite fancy reading it.
So when it gets near the end i will bid for it!
My 2 pence on the whole this that debate? It defiantly says this.
Maybe they don't actually want anyone to buy it, perhaps its one of those things they planted to make the thing look more authentic. I have to say the level of realism in this ARG is brilliant. For ages it had us guessing and now the book on eBay!
as i said if no one bids then i will be going for this book .. Think at 40 its a bit steep ( that's what makes me think they don't want anyone to buy it) But i actually quite fancy reading the book and the handwritten notes are a bonus lol

when you do a search for the book on sites from antique stores, you will find it will cost about 6 or 7 gbp.. sometimes even cheaper..
thats why I think 40 gbp is a bit steep.. but we will see who buys it.. I will however not bid on it, so I leave it to you to obtain it at the last moment..
I would however love to find out what is in it..

Jo posted the following on facebook a little while back..
Quote:
You Bastards! My mother was right...I should have never got involved with you...she warned me as soon as I developed the 'Sight' that you would be in touch...I was young when I joined you...you took advantage of that...you manipulated me just so you could get James back...I want my daughter back though...so I will do as you ask...but once I have her...all of this is over for me...you can have James...I want nothing more to do with this...
somehow her mother who was involved with A:A: warned her for the cult, yet she joined.. wonder why.. it seems like it was before she know james..

jo is involved with the cult because they are blackmailing her ... they took her daughter and will not return her until she helps them

From the Dr.'s tumblr page:
Quote:
I found myself alone in Hopwas Woods…with no idea of how I got there…then I saw my dead Daughter Sarah…she touched my face…and whispered…"In the shadows, we worship That worm"…
I thought Sarah was dead. Can the cult bring her back to life?

The Book is no longer an issue...we found the seller...we removed him...and the book...we will return it to James when he joins us again...
Ha! I didn't see that one coming. RIP magiccarl84! mrshomersimpson, I was hoping you would get it also, with myself being in the US it would take much too long for it to arrive. I guess now we'll have to rely on Jo to give us tidbits from the book.
