Which I actually think is a good thing. The less we know about that thing, the better.

True, but I hope we do at least get an explanation for WHY he is going after these people. Without a thread connecting these events, the entire series becomes simply that: a string of events with no real purpose. Not saying it has to be an in depth, vivid description of what's going on; just something as simple as "these people were marked from birth" or "so-and-so is sacrificing his/her buddies in order to be spared" will suffice IMO.

Or we could always have a Scooby-Doo ending, revealing Operator to be Old Man Smithers all along. ...it could happen... :\

I'd prefer the Thelma and Louise ending. I love you Jay. I love you Tim!

Clearly Troy wanted us to be wary of Alex going into those entries, hence the creepy story and odd behavior.

I love how people still use "clearly" to describe this. It's not really "clear" if you need to invoke the DVD commentaries to prove it.

The way he reacted when he saw the "HE IS A Liar" message makes me think he really was lying about something pretty big

All it told me was that he really hates Hoodie.

Considering everyone involved in the discussion is aware of what was stated on the DVD commentary, yes, it is clear in this particular instance.
