So what are they saying? The ARG will be app-based with no web-content, or just aided by an app? The app will not be available outside US and Canada, or only the contest?

The way I see it, as I intimated earlier, the app is a separate campaign, but could possibly be used in the #areyouthe1701 campaign... I could be wrong, of course, but this app announcement seemed to overshadow 1701; would have been an oversight to sort of quietly announce something, then loudly announce something else unless the first was unimportant, canceled, or replaced by the latter, or they were two separate projects with the first still on track. *shrug* I think the latter is for the more general fans/public, with the former for the more dedicated fanbase... We'll see Smile

This ARG is for Star Trek 2. Knowing the director, he might start it at 5:01 on 1/17. Or 17/01 at 1701 Zulu (GMT). Would be funny.
