I think it makes sense that the ARG runs internationally since we had to include country of origin (without restrictions) in the form submitted at areyou1701 site (Hope so)

BTW: Has anyone received any feedback from there?

Well, whatever they plan to do whether it be app driven or just a part of the whole thing, the end of January is only a week away.. So, hopefully the waiting will soon be over..
The email for the winner of the sweepstakes/app was from Paramount BTW..

Hello Together,
I'd like to join you, waiting for something to happen Wink

I have a digital version of the comic, there don't appear to be any clues hidden in the image backgrounds but I haven't gone over everything in depth yet. There are some references to the planet Organia on some of the screens, but no discernible alien text or other words/QR codes/other stuff.
If it helps, TOS Organia was a planet populated by energy beings who engineered a (rather ineffective) peace treaty between Federation and Klingons.

I doubt if the comic is somehow related to the ARG. As I skimmed through kosmopols blog entries of the last Star Trek ARG, it seemed the prequel comic wasn't involved. Or am I mistaken?

Nice name Wink

It's been implied that the comic books which are already running contain clues to the story within the sequel, specifically:

Quote:
Mike Johnson, writer of the Star Trek comic book said the first, fourth and twelfth issues contained hints of events in the film. "They are more retroactive, in the sense that after you see the movie you can go back and see where things were set up. Some are very direct; others are more thematic."

So I think we're either hoping for the 4 comics which lead up to the film to either contain ARG elements or at least some interesting notions for us to muse over the ARG with. Jar Jar Abrams usually runs a tight ship with his ARGs so here's to hoping!

There is an ARG, I think it's just a matter of whether or not the comics will be tied into it is all that's being asked just now.
