The red scene with the hand reaching the camera in the first few seconds of the video... am I the only one who remembered the red scene in entry 65? The one where Tim's screaming?

Jesus Christ, why did you have to go ahead and remind me of that horrifying occurrence this late at night ? Crying or Very sad

This definitely is a possibility, though the implications of Hoody owning this footage are so grandiose that I'm inclined to think otherwise.

Well, in Entry #65, the part where it shows the long hallway is right after it shows Tim screaming in red.
In Surveillance, we go backwards from the end of the hallway, then it shows a scene with a red-ish tint of a hand covering a camera; or is it backwards, and the hand is actually moving away from the camera?
Either way, they seem similar. Not sure what it could mean though.

Maybe someone was filming Tim while he was screaming? I'm not sure why else the chest camera would have been temporarily taken off of him and filming his face... it seems like it would be Alex doing that but then how did TTA have the footage of the camera being adjusted?

so

this is super important

so listen

what I've got from looking at the other entries is that

PAINTINGS

AND DRAWINGS

...are important?

Idk, my brain is so melted by this one, iGiveUp.

Edit: No but really, those paintings in the antique shop? The painting in entry 20? Something...something. Sorry, I'll stop rambling now.

Well, I am not pretty sure if it is relevant or not, but I've been thinking about this before. There are some paintings in some important camerashots. And I always thought on Entry #20, when they're in someone's flat (I don't remember who's) and they have a painting of a wood on fire and then Tim starts coughting and all that stuff... It has always remembered me the story Alex told Jay about those criminals that happened in Roswood Park.
There are also some paintings in the store, all of them with forests.

The first painting that appears is the one in #20, with the burning forest.
Then, in entry #23, there's an Operator symbol in a frame hanging next to a door in one of the rooms. I don't know if that counts as a painting...
At the beginning of season 2, there are paintings in Jay's hotel room.
Of course, the paintings in the antique store:

And finally, in Tim's bedroom in entry #61, there are some paintings on the floor, against the wall (I actually don't know if there's more than one).

It's very likely that I've missed some, anyway. Confused

Going out on a limb here... I was just thinking about the "continue on" backwards message and also wondering if anyone has run the audio through a spectrograph. I just listened to the encoded bit at the end of Decay (that had "today is your last birthday" hidden in it) and although it does sound different from the end of Surveillance, there is some high-pitched noise after the question mark screen pops up that bears a tiny bit of resemblance. I don't have any experience with the spectrograph thing, so it's probably a waste of time, but I figure that some collective brainstorming never hurts.

Hmm. I still wasn't sure if the camera grab was new or old, or where it came from, so I checked it again. I noticed the person seems to be wearing a shirt with stripes, and I thought I remember Alex wearing something like that. The stuff Alex is wearing in Entry #52 is very similar to what the camera grab person in Surveillance is wearing.
No idea why ToTheArk has any of this footage; among the other footage they have that no one else does.

Also, if Alex was filming Tim screaming like that, then Alex is creepier than ever.

I remember the same paintings than you.
And talking about those in the antique shop, I don't really know why has Jay done those photos. The only way I can relate them with the story is the fact that in all of them there are trees or forests.

Because of the way you guys had to re-arrange the letters after you deciphered them, I have my doubts that you have actually decoded the message. Don't most ciphers become completely clear once you crack the key? You guys had to change the letters around to get it to make sense. That leads me to believe it has not been decoded.

The clothes do look similar... I don't think Hoody was there to see Alex do that, since the idea of Hoody casually walking into the Operator's realm to check on things doesn't sit well with me. The only way it seems to make sense if it is Alex is that Alex allowed TTA to have this footage. Maybe he sent TTA the footage in order to taunt them.

There is another possibility, it's a bit of a long shot but maybe Alex has become TTA? Hoody could have feared that their pawn, Tim, was seriously going to die so they went into the realm after him, only to be killed by Alex or TO. Who knows, maybe that's why the dead guy Tim found had his face obscured to us - it might not have been Bruce. It might have been Hoody's real identity. Eh, seems like a bit of a stretch though.
