Fair enough. My math skills pretty much end at Calculus and linear mathematics, and though my desire to work in the security field means I probably should study ciphers, I don't really know much about them and have been only keeping a casual eye on this thread. Razz

Guys. He did the same that I and another dude on this thread posted here, but we just subtracted the pairs. Jay is speaking about adding. Same thing but maybe this method has a whole another logic?

If you subtract the first number from the second, minding negatives, plug those numbers into tta's strings, and add it all together, you get the number 10. (proof on bottom of page here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgkDkULgD4CZdHdPLWFNd0VxdDdoTXh2bm5QUlBEMmc)
And what is the 10th letter of the alphabet?
J.

I'm so bad at this code breaking thing.

EDIT: I said that backwards

At this point, I'm inclined to believe what another user posted and that the damn thing just says Be sure to drink your ovaltine. :V Maybe TTA was watching that A Christmas Story 24 hour marathon on TBS and just thought the decoder ring scene was just too good not to use to fuck with Jay

Is there anything significant with the music and the numbers? The interval between the numbers is a perfect 5th, considering the amount of 5's that come up when the numbers are added together it could mean something.

@marblehornets
Just noticed a few of these numbers have a pattern. First digit plus two. 13, 24, 57, 68, 79 all follow it.

What if for these numbers you add 2 and for the rest you add 5? Then solve it like the other ones?

Jay needs to save up more boxtops from special packs of Operate-O's to get his secret decoder ring.

One thing to note:

Quote:
Two of the pairs are mirrors and are grouped together twice. 27-72 and 57-75.

So there's a link between those..

But now it's implied that 75 is quite different from 57.

My guess is that this cipher must be decoded before the next entry is uploaded..

Don't give up (on us) yet, Troy! The longer this drags on, the more MH followers you gain!

My guess is that the Voynich manuscript will be decoded before the next entry is up!

I really doubt Marble Hornets "Won't update" until we solve it. I mean really, after the last wait? Do you really think Troy is so obtuse as to think this is more important than the actual video series? C'mon.

I just posted this on tumblr, but I wanted to post it here too.
So what I did was I took the code:

and added up the digits vertically, like so:

I then took these numbers and added up all of their digits together to get single-digit numbers. I corresponded the single digits to their places on the QWERTY keyboard:

which results in OYURAKR, an anagram for "YOUR ARK".
