Someone sent it to Jay, so I'll just wait to see if it's right.

In addition to the problems George G mentions above, the two halves follow different systems. The follow-up (Alexia?) admits to not following the QWERTY system. Plus, I don't see how 11 means A and 18 means K.

11 is A and 18 is K in the QWERTY system.

Ugh, embedded, auto-playing music. I thought that went away with MySpace.

My apologies. I get it now. I thought it meant just move downwards from the number on the keyboard.

The bigger issue to me though is still that it completely changes the system for the second half. And, as George G mentioned, it requires a lot of steps that don't follow the hints at all (given the apparent impatience, I can't see hints being offered that distract from the answer).

I apologize for that actually, I added it (along with the horses) last night as a joke for a friend and simply haven't gotten around to removing it until now. Thank you for the reminder.

Maybe the non-patterned numbers are supposed to be rotated or backwards? 5 is 2 rotated...

So that "ttadecoded" youtube channel just uploaded a video with their comments on Forecast.

Laughed a bit thinking about a ttadecoded video on Surveillance.

Oh come on, how is Alexia's solution NOT correct? She actually spelled something with her solution, and it's definitely something that TTA would write.

Jay's hints were likely red herrings, intended to help with the immersion that he's just some guy with no advanced knowledge of the cryptic messages in the videos.

It's very possible it is correct. I personally don't like it because changing the code halfway through seems a bit much, and I think immersion could be accomplished without deliberately waylaying us. Whether I like it or not doesn't change its accuracy of course. But still, a 6-letter anagram also risks a false positive fairly easily.

But I agree it does look like something TTA would say, and it's the best answer so far.

It is clearly not correct, as if you look back in this topic, somone posted what would happen if you did the same method to the SECOND set of #s, and it was garbled nonsense. This was total luck.

Use her method on the second set of numbers. If it can pass as something, then sure, I'll bite.

The point is that, whatever method we use to solve it on the first set must also be true for the second set, or it's not a key.

I'm sceptical of it because, using the same method of selecting random letters,
Code:
12 9 5 8 18 5
L  I E H R  E

can easily change to
Code:
12 9 5 8 18 5
L  E I H S  I

which is then an anagram of 'his lie'.

It seemed a bit much for me too -- which is why I didn't even attempt to do the second half after seeing beepish come out with SOTIKT with the same method. But then Marblechemist came in with the alphabet solution for the second half and it seemed to click. YOUR ARK, HER LIES. It just seemed too welldone to be a coincidence to me.
I'm not 100% fond of the way it worked out either (you would think they would have it stick to one method for two codes, or at least have something to do with Jay's hints), but the solutions do seem to fit what TTA would say. Whether or not they're correct is another matter, but even if they aren't it does seem like a damned good find.

I'm not sure what you mean by randomly selected, though. Marblechemist used the corresponding letters in the alphabet to assign to the numbers, she didn't randomly select them. A=1, B=2, C=3, etc. 12 would still equal L, 9 still equals I, 5 still equals E, 8 still equals H, 18 still equals R. It would still be an anagram of "HER LIE".

If the solution really is "YOUR ARK" then that would be so dumb. All of this trouble for just another obligatory totheark phrase? I don't buy it.

Well... if that's it, at least I'll be able to asdfing sleep tonight...
It's been fun either way.
