Ok, so given the time to read the last two posts which have been very informative if I do say so myself, I have quite a response.

To not know that Habit put the video up is someone completely not understanding the series. The caps lock title gives it away straight out the gate, but this brings up an interesting scenario, when did HABIT put this video up considering this was right before Evan's fight with (Rake or Habit whichever it is) or suicide, did he become host of the person filming who crunched the leaves in the last minutes of the video, or does (like some theory states) Habit have some sort of electronic presence and can do things like this automatically?

That door sequence always came off like there was something wrong and different. Thank you Unfamous for confirming my gut reaction.

So let's assume the baby was the perfect host. What does HABIT do now?
Go for the next best thing which is what?
We have to think like we are HABIT, predict it's next move.

Haha wait a sec, how do we break a habit? maybe it's that simple.
I was going to say create barriers to the habit but didn't we see habit in the candleverse attacking jeff?

As for perfect hosts, there's always Vinnie and Dr. Corfenthal... remember, Dr. Corenthal is a suspect for several murders and inciting that riot at the restaurant. Just because he can't remember doing anything doesn't mean he wasn't inhabited at the time. (of course this could also have been Habit driving the doctor away by making him wanted by the police).

Edit: How can I expect to be taken seriously when I can't even type? I mean "Corenthal"!

The door of the house looked like someone was pulling on it from the other side, especially given Evan can't see anyone outside due to the windows being that decorative stuff. Maybe it's slenderman with his tentacles wrapped around the handle, or maybe it's greenfeather's inHabited and partially decomposed corpse, who knows.

Corenthal is a definite possibility. Since he seems to, on some level, be able to exploit Slenderman's space-warping powers, that would give HABIT the "magic," for lack of a better term, that he currently lacks.

In this case, the purpose of building up Evan would be to make a host that can compete with Corenthal, long enough for him to take him over. These abilities might also be enough to make an immortal HABIT, which is what Canyouseethewords implies that he wants.

Alternatively, there is no misdirection, & Evan was the perfect host all along. In this case, HABIT would be trying to break his will to live & fight back. In this case, perhaps all that HABIT needs to be unkillable is to be "in-tune" enough with just the right person. This would explain why all of his "trials" & "experiments" seem to focus on dehumanization.

Lastly, there is the theory that the perfect host is actually the Rake, since the Rake is already incredibly strong & resilient. This could be supported by the fact that HABIT has manipulated conditions so that Evan is going to fight the Rake to the finish. Then again, maybe the Rake just serves to make Evan/HABIT stronger. And doesn't the Rake's murder of Ryan suggest that it's already working for HABIT?

The video postings are easily explained. Either this stuff has already happened & HABIT is back in control, or he has his "cameraman" post the videos with his distinct style.

I think HABIT still has control over Evan due to the fact that Sinatra's "I got you under my skin" continues to play while he is driving; as if he is letting him know that "I still have control of you."

We all know that HABIT wants Evan to see the remains of his girlfriend and/possibly baby in that other room. He could be in spirit (Kind of like the fallen angel from the Danzel Washington movie "Fallen") who can travel from host to host and is able to live when not inhabiting a lifeform. This, of course, comes into play when he started posting on their twitter. Who was the host when he was starting these tournaments? Was there any or was he in spirit form?

So the sum it up, HABIT could have uploaded it without being a host. That's just a suggestion.

It could have also been Slendy messing with the radio too since we all know him for messing around with electronics and his hatred towards Evan.

I really strongly doubt that HABIT can act as a ghost, as that would defeat the whole purpose of having hosts. If he has enough power to hold a door closed, he can surely kill a man.

Also, it was strongly implied that it was Evan doing the 7 Trials stuff, as it starts around the same time he gets his own computer. Aside from that, we know he'd possessed Nick and some other guy to post on Canyouseethewords.

Once again, I figured HABIT just rigged the radio somehow, since he does a lot of stuff with hidden cameras and whatnot, but I suppose it's possible that he got Slenderman to do it.

As for the body in the room, I assumed it was Daniel's. Evan says, "he just wanted me to see him." The first "he" is most likely HABIT. The second implies a male with whom he is familiar. I believe the baby was a girl, & besides that, he kind of ate it. Plus, this is the house where HABIT killed Daniel, and his body wasn't in the kitchen.

If anybody has seen the movie "Fallen", he needed hosts to commit those atrocious acts. He can still act as a ghost and fiddle with equipment, i.e controlling the radio, uploading movies onto youtube.

@lithp: Yeah, I tend to agree but try to keep myself openminded, especially considering how little definite info we have on HABIT. More likely he takes over Evan before staging the video to rig the door and everything else, then resuming control of Evan to edit and publish the video that he recorded in the short time our Evan was given control. Or he might have controlled some other random schmuck to hold the door closed. Idk.

As for our buddy the Rake this might be another test similar to when HABIT pitted Nick and Evan
