It's almost certain that HABIT was around in some form from the very beginning. There doesn't seem to be any gradual transition from Evan-HABIT, so I imagine he just chose now to reveal himself, not that he was being held back somehow.

It's also been noted that HABIT's increased computer activity roughly coincides with the video in which Vince stated that Evan got a computer.

So why now? Well, HABIT just says he's impatient, but I think the breakthrough about The Property was really important. He likely knew Jeff was coming over because there are still some undiscovered hidden cameras.

He MIGHT even be able to control the others, as that thing where everyone mauled the deer seemed like his MO.

So true. I probably would have had to give up on the series had I not found the timeline. It was just too hard to chase everything down.

One thing that was very helpful to me besides the wiki was this thread. Wink

Very much seemed so, especially with Evan licking the blood off his fingers. If this is the case though, why didn't he deem it necessary to control Alex as well? He was the only one in the video didn't seem hell bent on killing something.

On a different note, I don't really think that HABIT controlled the hooded people in Next. I remember him saying something about how they freaked him out and was seemed surprised the proxy upstairs (err or Alex?) was there.

What do you think is going on with the HABIT!Baby? Is it still alive, did it get killed, is it going to play a big role? Is Steph still alive?

I'm personally thinking Steph is alive, because in that one crossover video (don't remember what it was called) the guy said 'be careful of Steph, she told you what happened to her parents, but not to that group she was travelling with' (was this about Fairmount!Steph, or EMH!Steph?). This probably means Steph is still alive and will play a big role in the future, in my opinion. What is the relationship between Steph and HABIT? So many questions...

I hope Steph and the baby are alive, but it looked uber bleak in the latests vid.

The group that Steph travelled with, is there any information on them in her old blog/tumblr? Is her story more closely related to the Rake or Slenderman mythos?

I don't remember what it said about the group that she traveled with--it would be kind of strange if we didn't get backstory on them--but Steph's blog didn't mention the Rake. It was much more related to HABIT & Slenderman.

Ah I did it.

Finally.

Spent almost every night this past month (Screw daytime. I watch my Slender Man videos at 2am like a man) watching the videos, reading the posts here, all the canyouseethewords, all of the trials. Damn man.

My head is spinning. I might even love EMH more than Marble Hornets.

I'll probably write up a summary of my thoughts and all that tomorrow or something, but I need at least a night to take in the last few videos (poor Jeff...poor Vinnie...poor....EVERYone). As far as theories go I got nothing that hasn't already been posted here. This is some crazy shit.

Glad I got in now before the finale. Not sure what endgame will bring, but I'm all caught up and ready for it.

Edit: Also is there anything I should see that I might have missed? Any cool fan made stuff, or OOG interviews EMH did?

Indeed, EMH is my favorite Slendy vlog as well. I love how there's more of a focus on the characters and on the backstory. It's the least scary of the three, definitely, but it makes up for that with its disturbing factor. I also feel it has the best villains of the big three.

There's not really any OOG interviews for EMH. EMH has done the best job at maintaining immersion thanks to the boxes and how involved the fans can get. I'm not sure about the fan-made stuff.

Yeah there are some intense moments, but nothing as scary as MH's best moments.

Might call it the best acted with a few hiccups. Having a bigger cast makes it tougher, but the mains are all awesome.

It's also got some great humor to it whether it is the live stream basics, the nods like "wifin" in scrabble or the connected, but WTF stuff like the emergency machete.

As for villain, Slender Man himself is a lot less menacing than MH's Operator, but HABIT is such a glorious son of a bitch.

I really liked him all along like "Oh the cool, funny, charismatic nut job", but after taking Evan over on a full time basis and torturing Jeff....I really wanna see him get his ass handed to him somehow.

Also Rake is.....something. A nice wildcard.

As far as fan-made stuff goes, clips from EMH frequently show up in music videos whether the subject of the video is on the whole of the Slender Man Mythos or just on EMH itself.

One of my favourite fan-made items though is a trailer for EMH that the The Third Zaber edited together (among several other really cool music videos!)
