hey. been a while since i've been on the site.... i was really heavily involved in deus city a while back, but lost my internet connection over the summer (damn ISPs....), and when i came back they had moved on without me. boo hoo.

well, i've been trying to weasel my way into some trailheads, but it seems like everything i try and get into dies in the starting gate. So maybe this is where i need to give it a shot. After all, i love knowing exactly whats going on Razz.

so here we go. I'm an english major at the university of kentucky, a huge fan of fiction and not a bad writer in my own opinion (and my friends, for that matter), so i'm open for developing plot and storyline if anyone needs it. I'm really into PM/player interaction, especially through AIM and telephone, and i can act a little too, so i'm up for that.

I'd love to help out PMing for something that puts up a fair amount of technical challenge, and involves heavy PM/player interaction. I can devote a fair amount of time, and phonecalls/AIM meetings as long as i have some advance warning.

Also, i live in Lexington, KY, which is not exactly a hotbed of ARG activity, but is close enough to a couple big cities like Cincinnati and Indianapolis to warrant a drive for a parcel drop/in person meeting, if you want to get really in depth (which i would love to do.)

seriously, i'm putting myself out there. once i start something like this, i get really dedicated.

ive always wanted to get 'behind the curtain' as it were, so guess this is where to do it.

located in San Antonio, Tx. austin and surrounding areas within driving distance, no prob. I'm not an english major or anything, but ive got a firm grasp of the english language. i normally speak without an accent, but can affect passable russian, arabic, and spanish accents for phone/in-person communication.

I've served in the military for the last 5 years, first as a forward observer (13f) now a 'computer guy' (25b), serverd a tour with an infantry company in iraq, and am well-versed in military operations/procedures, as well as enemy tactics.

dont have much in the way of code-making or p-chop skills, but if youre looking for an actor, an analyst or an advisor, im your man.

I'm interested in helping PM an ARG. I live in the Twin Cities, MN and I have limited graphic design experience and some general art and computer skills. Also extensive role playing experience, ok writing skills, and I like to think that I'm pretty creative. I'd be totally willing to do interaction or whatever.

I'm looking for anyone interested in designing an HTML website with password log-ins. It will be hosted on something free like Freewebs, and I won't be paying you or anything. I don't know how to code websites and it would be a great help if someone could join me in creating the perfect website for the game I'm working on.

You can contact me on MSN at danteultima(at symbol)gmail.com or on AIM at DanteUltima666. I almost never check my e-mails so that wouldn't be a great place to start.

If you are interested, just look me up and I'll explain everything to you Smile.

Name is Steve (or Shaggy, if you prefer - my real life is split 50/50 between the two names). I live in Toronto.

I'm quite interested in the storytelling of ARGs, and am up for helping develop and write stories. I have an idea for a local ARG with lots of character interaction, but want to get a sense of the behind-the-curtain development, so I know where I can start.

I have studied history in university, and am a huge science geek at heart. I like having reasonable scientific explanations for crazy things, so I can help with that. Also, I'm pretty good at writing tangents for other characters that manage to reconnect to a main plot (and can usually pick up tiny threads you don't realize were there and expand on them), and often throw in bizarre references and oddball humour.

(Also, I'm not much of a cryptography nerd as I think it reduces the TINAG feel, so am interested in devising more creative puzzles)

PM me, or e-mail me at das.shaggy @ gmail.com. I'd love to help out if i can!

I answer better to Zii than to my real name, so I'm not going to bother with it. XD I'm a new transplant to the Seattle area, just an hour's ferry ride from the big city itself.

I want to make my own ARG sometime in the future, but I want to know more about running them first, and what better way to learn that than to help out on a group project?

I don't know much in the way of web design, but I've had formal acting training and am currently going to school for radio/tv broadcasting - so I can get at professional equipment for making newscasts and editing audio/video and do a good acting job to boot have graduated from broadcasting school and moved across the country, so I can't get at the pro-grade cameras but have Adobe After Effects and know how to use it. As always, though, I'm up to do the best acting and editing I can.

I'm talented at storytelling and can pull plots out of thin air... Something that makes for some interesting specs sometimes.

Anything I can do to help, drop me a line: tina.engelhardtSPLATgmail.com

Alright so i'll make this short and sweet, i'm making an ARG but have no experience doing so, for details on what im looking for as far as a team and what this ARG will be about are
http://vecheeso.boardzero.com/
and
http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=25024

Needs all kinds of talent, and preferably people who have had experience with making ARGs because I dont know exactly what to do, i'm looking for a team to guide me and help me to bring my story to life.

Thanks for your time

*EDIT* Okay so i updated the site i posted, and i've been working on my binary skills, i have a few ancillary people willing to help, but i have no core team, and no one to brainstorm ideas with which i need, soooo if you are interested check out that site read a lil about the story line and ideas, should only take a few mins, then message me. Again i'm currently looking for core people who have the time to devote to working on this, and have skills in web page design, and know how to acquire a website for free. I have things for youtube and myspace already, but none of the in-between sites and things. Again thanks for your time.

Hi there, I have been hankering for some behind-the-curtain action this summer. Which leads me to an interesting point.

I will be in Beijing May 1 through June 12. I can do things like: post letters, packages, etc. from China; get some of my Chinese friends in on the action (maybe); film footage at Beijing University or other famous sites that I am going to go do the touristy thing at.

Other than that, I am a philosophy major at the University of Michigan, and while I'm not that cryptographically inclined, I am pretty sharp conceptually.

  • Rudimentary programming skills. I'm willing to help out and learn more.
  • Strong level of understanding of philosophy -- I've always wanted to get behind a game that had explicit philosophical underpinnings.
  • Always on the internet. Always.
  • Willing to travel. My kinda-job, major senior year project may involve a lot of travel in the next year (as I mentioned, I'm also going to China), and beyond that I'm banking on a graduate program which will afford me the opportunity to travel to various functions, etc.
  • I have an open summer to get things started. After I return stateside I'm not really doing anything except working.
  • Pretty good roleplayer.

Drop me a line at: lmuackasSPLATumichDOTedu, also I'm a fan of AIM: derubermensch304.[/list]

Well, I'm a writer (stories, poems, articles) and an artist (ink, watercolour, acrylic, rubber stamping, bookmaking) I am also doing rather well with my newish digital camera. I've made a short film for Aporia Agathon, my very first attempt at doing anything like that but I love the package I used, and will be playing with it a lot more! I am a knowledge and research junkie! I love learning about loads of subjects including History, Art, Literature, the Occult, Asian culture. Used to act and can sing a bit. I am currently working on my own ARG, though I would prefer to apprentice before I really strike out on my own.

That's me. In a ( rather large ) nutshell.
Very Happy

volunteer available

Greetings. I have read about ARGs periodically for the past two or three years, but have never engaged in any.

I have some experience with web design (HTML+CSS) in addition to web-based programming (PHP with both flat text files and MySQL databases for storage). I enjoy games and logic and have 90% of an undergraduate degree in mathematics.

My primary interest, however, is physical-space interaction. I live in southern New York, and I periodically travel to/through Syracuse, Albany, Binghamton, Rochester, Ithaca, New York City, Corning, and various other locales in New York. I am not far from the Appalachian Trail and much other hiking. Additionally, I am occasionally in northern New Jersey.

I would be interested in joining a PM team in any of the following capacities:
-placing objects, geocaches, etc.
-interacting with individuals in meatspace
-playing a character online
-brainstorming/making suggestions
