Despite my fresh username, I've followed ARGS since Chasing The Wish and I'm ready to cut my teeth on a project. Preferably looking for someone from the UK/Europe (but having someone in a US timezone has it advantages). This is beginning to sound like I'm cruising for a bum-chum, so lets cut to the chase.

Knowledge:
  • Pretty good web designer. Great knowledge on: HTML, XML, Java. Some on Perl and a little experience with PHP.
  • Dab hand at Adobe Photoshop.
  • See some of my design work at: http://deathknell.net

Skills:
  • Skilled writer. I haven't been published, but I know my tenses and have written a few novels. I am a veritable fountain of ideas (both good and dumb).
  • I am Scottish, and I've been told my voice is 'sexy', 'intimidating', and 'retarded'. So if you're looking for a sophisticated thug with downs syndrome, I'm yer man.
  • I know about ridiculously obscure music, and although a musical novice, I know a lot of talented musicians who are interested in joining

I've got the preliminary plans for a meaty ARG sketched out, with a few web designs built, and would really like a couple more guys/gals on board.
PM me, or email me: leckie BLATTO deathknell.net

It just came to my attention that I never actually posted in this thread, so here I am. I've been wanting to PM for very nearly a year now, so here is to hoping that someone picks me up for a project....

Knowledge:
  • Knowledgeable on a variety of topics, which include but are not limited to ancient Roman history, feudal Japanese history, modern Irish history, American politics, Middle Eastern politics, the US military, and vampires....yeah, vampires.
  • Working knowledge of several CMSes/web apps including Drupal, Mambo/Joomla, e107, Land Down Under, phpbb, and invision board.
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop, Image Ready, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Excel, a couple other things.

Skills:
  • I am a skilled writer of fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. I've had a couple small poems published, but that's about it. Also have worked on 3 ARG projects as a writer.
  • I have what some might call a 'commanding' voice, having served in the military for over three years now.
  • I possess an extensive library on a wide variety of subjects.
  • I am a quick learner, so basically any task I'm set to do will get done, whether or not I'm familiar with the tools to get it done at the outset.

Advantages:
  • I own nearly two dozen domains.
  • I have a reseller webhosting package, so I can provide hosting to just about any project, either at a low price or free of charge.
  • I've got some spare funds laying around with which to purchase more domains and the like if needed. I have also served as the chief financial guy for every project I've been heavily involved in.

That's about it, at least off the top of my head. I am a logistical thinker as well as a creative one, so I can usually stay on target with whatever task is given over to me and produce results on time.

In hopeful preparations for running an ARG for a small, dedicated community some time in the future, I think I would like to try to PM/BTS as part of a good group before I go off on my own. Seems ... logical almost. Scary I know!

EDIT: Available.

Computer Experience:

» Experience with HTML, php, and MySQL. See my homepage (www.themeesons.com) for examples. Also have some experience with Flash ... let me see if I can find a suitable example ... http://www.themeesons.com/movies/WinterTop2005.swf was the top half of our old website.
» Access to Photoshop and a digital camera. And a photographer!
» Even though I'm still on dialup (DSL t-minus one month!), I'm available for IM or IRC if given a specific time period to be available.
» I also now know how to make the euro symbol. €! (Note to self, add "sense of humor" to Other Skill section.)

Other Skills:

» Decent writing skills. I worked for a marketing company, and I've been published on the internet and in print, mostly writing for a collectible card game. I also have written many technical documents, both contractual and scientific in nature, and could easily fabricate interoffice memos, technical specs, or advertising copy.

... I'm reading this, and I'm forced to wonder: Do people actually read this stuff? I see an awful lot of "Unavailables" being posted, so I guess they do. I'm just not sure what else I can offer as a PM/BTS player. I think I'm thinking in terms of what I'd put on a resume, and that's limiting my scope. So let me ask you this, prospective employers: looking back on the past X months of posts in this thread, which are the bullets that really drew you in to one candidate or another?

What the hey....

I have a BA in English, and a post-grad certificate in creative writing. I've been a writer-in-residence at the Banff Centre for the Arts (2002, 2004, 2005, and 2006). My publication credits include poetry, articles in print and online publications, and a novel that was published in conjunction with the Arctic Institute of North America.

I can keep a secret, and I can put time and research into your ARG.

If you think I can be an asset to your team, please let me know.

It came in handy when Orbital Colony needed a dead drop in Bristol. I'm sure the UK players appreciated it!

07/12/07 - Oh! Oh! Pick Me! Pick Me! I'm available!

Tech skills (aka, "1337 H4XX0R SKEELZ LOL!!!111"):
Web - HTML, CSS, ASP, Javascript, AJAX... on, and on... I've been doing webstuff for fun and profit since about 1996.
Programming - I have an MS in CS. I can program in just about anything. If I don't know it already, I have a knack for picking it up quickly.
Design - I've worked on software/hardware design projects of all sizes -- me-on-my-own to $200,000,000 projects.

Non-Tech Skills (aka, "Da People Skeels")
Acting - Theater since I was 14 (albeit of the "community" variety... but they keep casting me!).
Writing - No professional writing skills, but have been told several times I've got a knack for that, too! I really enjoy developing characters.
Gophering - I have the unique ability to do what I'm told: perform drops, make phone calls, proofread.

I also live in New Mexico, but I'm not sure how that will help.

I do lots of things. But how can I let you know without going on and ... Hey, look! A website! http://www.chrislove.net

I have been on the PM Teams of the ARGs:
Another Contest Worth Entering.

Skills
-Acting, I have been in amateur and professional productions playing a number of leading roles, including the title character of Romeo in the most famous play in the history of the world.
I have a talent for impersonations and accents.
-Writing (I won the Manning-Foster Creative Writing Award 2005 and recently completed a playwriting course with the National Theatre of Great Britain. I was commissioned to write a play for them, and it was produced July 2007.)
-I have written five full-length plays, two of which have been produced.
-Fountain of knowledge. I know lots of useless stuff which may come in handy. I absorb information like a sponge.

I am located in London, England.
I am a quick learner.
I am efficient, and passionate.

I like games to have character interaction, a plot in which players can affect the action and I like PMs who are comitted and organised.

I'm FREE

Here goes?

I only discovered ARGs about a year ago, lurked for a while then played Orbital Colony and have been hooked ever since. I would like to create my own ARG in the future but would like to get some experience first.

My skills and abilities
Natural ability for writing and developing characters.
Experienced photographer (underwater photographer but I'm also good on dry land) and experienced with Photoshop.
Available for IM and IRC at any time.
Researching and proofreading are some of my strongest skills.
I have far too much spare time on my hands and am online nearly 24/7.
Obsessed with classical ciphers and love creating my own ciphers and puzzles.
Basic HTML skills.
I am a very quick learner and pick up new skills easily.
I live in the UK and can travel just about anywhere in the country for drops.
