This thread is gold!

But seriously, i think the series are going to end abruptely, with little questions answered. I don't think Trosephim even gives a fuck anymore, nor do we.

I lost all hope i had on the series already because they take too fucking long to update anything. And if they are too busy to put some work in the series then just put it on a hiatus and come back later.

I know it's a webseries and it's free, but if u want to keep your viewers watching you then u have to update often. It's the only way you can make a profit out of it.

Either they drop the project permanently cause they have no idea what the fuck to do with it or they freeze it for a long time.

Jay will volunteer to detonate the nuclear device, but Tim tricks him at the last minute, detatching his air hose and shoving him back onto the spaceship elevator. Despite Jay's cries to the contrary, his damaged suit will leave him with no choice but to merely film as Tim fights through last minute steam vent explosions to reach the detonator. Just as he is about to detonate the atom bomb which he and his team have drilled into the asteroid, he will have a montage flash through his mind of his life, the good times and the bad. The Operator will appear and try to stop Jay's spaceship from leaving, but Alex will have just the right one-liner, and the racially diverse cast of the ship will narrowly escape to a triumphant, orchestrated song. The Operator then turns to Tim, but it's too late; the camera focuses and we see Tim's grin and sideburns, and he says some badass one-liner, like, "Sorry, slim. Not on my watch." He then detonates the nuclear device, heroically sacrificing himself and splitting the asteroid into two perfect halves which barely miss the planet. The credits roll to an Aerosmith hit, then after the credits, in TTA font, the following pops on the screen:

DON'T WANNA CLOSE MY EYES
DON'T WANNA FALL ASLEEP
BECAUSE I'D MISS YOU BABY
AND I DON'T WANNA MISS A THING

Single frame of the Operator as the final frame after that. Maybe in a dark, creepy, heavily wooded area.

That's the spirit! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Seriously though, I disagree, and the reason why boils down to this: I am *hoping* that Trosephim aren't complete liars. They've claimed that they already know how the series is going to end and that they've mapped out some if not all of the events leading up to the end, and I am, for the moment, going to just hold faith that they do in fact know what they're doing. Could they be lying? Could they really have no clue? Sure. But I generally prefer to be optimistic myself.

And I think the long updates, annoying as hell though they may be, are not nearly the apocalypse-inducing problem you seem to view them as. There are plenty of reasons (good and bad) for why they might not be updating that have zero to do with whether they know where they're going with this.

So, yeah. Do I think the ending will be good? Not necessarily. Do I think the answers to the questions will be answers we like? Maybe not. But I don't think they're going to just suddenly end it, simply because that would go against their stated intentions and I haven't seen enough reason yet to doubt their intentions. And I suspect they wouldn't be any less busy if they put it on hiatus.

I did think that, until I saw entry #72. That's the first entry I can remember enjoying for a while.

Guys, Troy said twice on his Tumblr that Marble Hornets will never end.

Never.

Hey, you took Michael Bay's class on creative writing, too!

This isn't as much a "how will it end" as a "what's going to happen next", but fuck it.

There's been a huge build-up to Hoody over the past 7 or 8 entries:

66 - Jay and Tim follow him around the hospital and find a tape
67- The tape contains footage of Hoody attacking Alex.
68 - A video of Hoody and most likely uploaded by Hoody in which Alex attacks him and sees his face.
Decline - The most recent TTA.

After that, there's pretty much radio silence from Hoody/TTA up until entry #73.

We've almost seen Hoody's face a couple of times, and he's found a tape. So, theory time.

74 - Jay and Tim will look for the tape. Some crazy Hoody/Operator shit will go down.

75 - The tape. Hoody and TTA's identity (if their not the same person) is revealed.

After that, I reckon the final TTA will be uploaded, congratulating Jay on discovering his/her identity.

No clue what will happen after that, but I reckon Alex has to catch up with them and they have to find Jessica at some point.

Another good ending would be Jay, Tim and Alex meeting at "The Ark" and having a three-way showdown like the one at the end of Sergio Leone's The Good, the Bad and the Ugly...

YouTube: Link

...there can only be ONE!

EDIT: And they all have to be dressed like cowboys.

EDIT #2: And it's revealed Tim is actually the enigmatic poster "ToTheArk" and as he rides away, Jay, who is tied up, screams: "HEY TOTHEARK! I KNOW WHO YOU ARE! JUST A DIRTY SON OF A-- *WAA-AAAH-AAAAH*"

anything operator-related that happened can be explained by swamp gas and weather baloons

Also hoody and alex are twins that were separated at birth

Okay, how about this? You better put your thinking caps on for this shit, right up in here dawgs:

We go the Videodrome route--

What if, the whole 'time travel' concept IS true? And like, every tape we've discovered of Alex doing his evil stuff is not from the future, but from the past-- or like, the past of the future? And Alex is actually dead, but he pre-recorded everything because he's all mystical and shit and knew the outcome of every possible conversation they could have which is why...

...dude what am I talking about? Okay, okay, how about this?

The Operator is human, or at least, started as a human-- a human we know as Alex-- and like, he sent himself back in time to scare the crap out of his younger self because he didn't want to become the tall, thin, faceless guy we all know and love-- but because the TARDIS or the DeLorean or whatever doesn't let you mess with your own timeline without erasing you, the Operator doesn't have a direct means of doing what he needs to do because if he stops Alex (himself) from going back in time, he'll never have gone back in time and the whole show ends with a time paradox and we just see Tim standing in a room full of smoke, he puffs on a cigarette then breaks frame and says "Groovy."

After two months of silence Troy will post a video saying "I'd like to finish Marble Hornets, but I just can't go on. The conditions on set have become unworkable. If anyone wants to take these tapes off my hands and finish it off they're welcome."

Having everything resolved would be unrealistic. I think they should leave some ambiguity to the ending, but not a ton. Christ, we've waited so long to know all of these answers.

*Sound of tearing flesh is heard in the background and cries from Troseph and Tim*
