They're not going to defeat the Operator. That's too happy of an ending.

I don't know what exactly Jay plans on doing when he finds Alex---Jay is not capable of murder. Tim might be.

Tim might kill Alex in the heat of the moment, leading to an awkward conversation between Tim and Jay before they finally part ways for good, leaving it pretty open ended.

I have no clue what'll happen with Jessica, totheark, etc.

Like others have said, I imagine it'll end with a lot of text. Probably more of Jay driving...but maybe the Operator appears subtly in a few of the shots, getting progressively closer until the video cuts out?

Or maybe Jay will be sitting in front of the camera directly addressing the audience. He says his goodbyes, thanks us all for the help, and then reaches to turn the camera off as the Operator appears behind him. The video cuts out, and after a few seconds of silence we get a message from totheark, revealing that he was the one who uploaded the video.

I dunno. I'm trying to take this question seriously

Preferably, I hope Jay finds Jessica and that Alex is killed off.

Season 2 has fueled this sort of want for Alex to meet some form of demise. I mean, the person he killed? The fact that, he's technically the reason why a majority of the MH cast disappeared? He's kind of had it coming.

It would suck if Alex and the Operator win.

I guess that what I'm saying is, I actually have this huge hope that the Operator turns on Alex; That way the Operator doesn't necessarily lose/die (something I think might not get a very positive reaction, not sure why, but it's a personal opinion) and Alex gets what's coming to him.

And Tim... I hope he doesn't double-cross Jay like Alex did. I feel like there's some form of redemption to be had for him too. I hope he gets it. xD

I really doubt they'll kill Alex. I think they'll "eliminate" the Operator (I don't think they'll kill it, but they'll make it go away somehow.) and Alex will snap out of his slender trance.

My expectations for the ending...

• Everyone (except Jay and the Operator) is either dead, otherwise gone, or permanently Maskied

They will finally finish the Marble Hornets student film, but Tim plays every character.

Alex will die somehow but while doing so, the Operator decides to be a sick fuck and break his control over him, scarring Jay for life by making him witness his friend begging for mercy and crying over everything horrible he's done while he's dying. The Operator is stopped from stalking people again, perhaps through Alex's death but it is far from dead. Jay burns all the tapes and, despite being seemingly safe, is so paranoid that he goes into hiding and is never heard from again.

Not sure about Tim, totheark, Jessica, Amy etc.

Alex, Tim, Jay, the final confrontation in the hospital. Alex has the gun, he just wants this nightmare to end. Tim sold Alex out, brought him here to die.

The Operator arrives, rips Alex apart blood everywhere. Distortion. Tim freaks out. Starts screaming, falls to the ground yelling and clutching his head.

The Operator turns to Jay. Jump cut. A wooded area. Jay... Lives, and flees. In a moment of clarity, after reviewing the footage, he sees it, we all do. The Operator was never maliciously targeting Jay. He was protecting him.

Another tape is found. A tape Alex had hidden all along. Alex's first killing, just prior to his filming of Marble Hornets. Alex got weird. And then The OperTor stepped in when Alex chose Jay to be next for whatever reason, rubbed everyone memory, and became Alex's victim, acting as a living proxy these past few years.

The Operator has been Jay's guardian angel all along. And the form he took these past few years? Jessica.

This is my guess. If this isn't it, the next thing I see is Operator wins. TTA posts the final video. The Operator cannot be beaten.

Jay and Tim don't find Jessica. She finds them. She has been through a similar experience to Tim and Alex. The Operator has taken her and she has seen things, so many things... But unlike Tim who had a mental breakdown, or Alex who became a homicidal sociopath, it has made her an utter badass. She isn't afraid of TO anymore, because he has nothing left to scare her with. Death isn't scary compared to what she has seen. And when TO was busy filling her head with eldritch things, he let slip a way to get rid of him.

Jessica has seen that Alex is a proxy for TO, his entrance into this world. Without Alex the portal swings shut, at least until the next time TO finds a suitable person to channel through. Maybe Alex accidentally (or purposely) summoned TO through him himself, maybe someone else did it to Alex. Either way would work.

While the trio are talking about what to do now, Tim spots totheark stalking them. An epic chase ensues, with Tim catching and nearly beating totheark to death for taking his meds from him and stealing his medical info. Jessica and Jay stop him. They confront him and he reveals he knows where the ark is. It is located on the other side of the tunnel and Alex is there now, nearly totally subsumed by TO. If TO takes him entirely he will have a permanent entrance into this world.

The four head to the tunnel and TO appears, and everything goes staticy and crazy. Totheark runs away, never having intended to actually confront TO. Jessica, in full badass mode, charges TO. There is a confused jumble of images like in 65 when Tim was taken to happy happy fun land by TO. Eventually everyone ends up in the parking lot type area where Tim found Bruce in 65. Alex is there and he is crazy beyond saving. He is nearly totally TO's now. Tim pulls out a gun he brought along to kill Alex, but TO appears in full battle mode with tentacles a plenty. Tim collapses into a heap while Jessica pulls Jay out of the way. Everyone is affected by TO, but Jay for some reason has the most resistance. He manages to get the gun and ends up shooting and killing Alex.

There are more static and crazy images as the trio make their escape before the portal back to our world closes, trapping them with TO. They all, just barely, manage to make it out.

Cut to scenic highways and bi-ways and lots of text. Jay, Jessica, and Tim survived. But Tim has fallen to madness. He has experienced too much and will likely never recover. Jay is finally going to put this behind him and disappear for good. He and Jessica are travelling together for now but will likely part ways soon. He thanks us for our help and signs off.

A few days later we get one last video response from totheark called "Decoy". It will be usual totheark fare, but one thing will become clear. Alex was never supposed to be the proxy that let TO enter our world. Tim was. Totheark has been working with TO all along in a long gambit to put the focus on Alex as the bad guy so Tim could be taken. The last shot is of TO appearing in Tim's room in the madhouse in full battle mode again and then a final numbered message for Jay at the end that deciphers to "allbecauseofyou" and "comingforyou" with maybe a still frame freeze frame bonus of TO stalking Jay and Jessica at the end of the video.

Phew, that went on longer than I expected it to! And, no, I will not speculate on who totheark really is. Not gonna open that can of worms

After some sort of resolution, video of Jay:
