Crossovers vs. Backstories - Based upon DarkHarvest00

There is a scene in DarkHarvest00 (will update with link once I find it again) where the documentary Chris and Alex find speaks of one becoming a "Gorr'Rylaehotep", or, in more common terms, Slenderman. Now, many people seem to be against the idea of multiple slenders, but because TribeTwelve, EverymanHYBRID, and DarkHarvest00 have all had plot events that possibly relate to each other, they are in the same universe. This leads me to think that just because a Slendy has different backstory doesn't mean it can't be the same universe - perhaps it just was pursued through a different way of attempting to become Gorr'Rylaehotep?

Thoughts? This is a basic framework for what could be a very complex organization idea based upon just a couple of big Slender Series, as I'm not very aware of many other crossovers. But I think the general idea is clear - if DarkHarvest is correct about Slendy being created, then we have a general question for the mythos, don't we? How do we stop it?

I've seen a couple episodes. I'm currently getting into Dark Harvest. I like Dark Harvest so far because it has a faster pace than other slendy series does.
