Or does it refer to something that has to do with chemistry? Or the four basic elements?

I DMed winter about the discovery of the code texted to her saying elemental. She said she might know who it is referring to, but he doesn't want to be bothered.

So basically yesterdays clue was consultant6-4

which made me think of the base 64 for the translation into elemental ( from the email clue)

Then it got me thinking perhaps consult6-4 had a duel meaning. Maybe we needed to literally consult with someone/thing

I took clue literally and then using the elemental hint I referred to the as i call it periodic table/ elemental table and using this found that 6 and 4 could be cross referenced to f-d ( elemental symbols). I also noticed after I researched chemistry/elemental for a couple hours(failfish angela) that if you used a simple substitution for 6-4 you could also get the letters

F-D

F-D made me think of fire department.Aiden was The only person I remembered from the initial cardkeepers with the email address starting in FD/ Soo I thought I would contact him to see about gate.

I messaged Aiden this morning and got this reply:

Interesting. The three phrases on the GATE page all relate to Kabbalah and Tarot.

"BOTA" stands for "Builders Of The Adytum" (they have a web page here: http://www.bota.org/). They call themselves a religious organization "based on the Holy Qabalah and the Sacred Tarot". Adytum is the Greek word for "inner shrine".

"AMORC" stands for "The Ancient and Mystical Order Rosae Crucis" (http://www.amorc.org/).

"EIN SOF" is from Kabbalah. It represents God before he manifested himself.

The image sort of looks like the top of a celtic cross. Or a target...

Just some random thoughts/quick research to start the brain thinking...

If you read the part of this wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pythagoras about the school of Pythagoras ( near the bottom of the page) It is possible gate is a modern day version of that. they sound similar.
