It is? I didn't know that when I PMed. Laughing I'm such an amateur.

We are now at:

24 hours = 5 votes
48 = 1 vote

and just to be safe, for this vote alone, we should wait 48 hours to tally. Then we can continue onward with the voted on limitation. Does that sound fair to anyone else? Wink

I don't see why not. I mean, if they were using info gained here to change things in the game it would be a problem. It is in our best interest to not spend time figuring out if and extra THE and misplaced IT are on purpose, especially when we had a puzzle that involved mixed up words like that. I don't have a problem with it. I am also kind of lose on my relationship with the curtain, however Smile

I do have a question about the vote, however. We were told we will be able to present 3 more cards over this current 24 hours. If we are waiting for a vote of how long a vote should take, we won't be able to do that. ANyone have thoughts on what to do there? (I also would like to throw in that this is becoming a little tedious. Too many rules spoil the soup, but if we need a time limit for voting I can handle that. The process, however shouldn't be crazypants.)

New blog post with 3 cards face down = PM/s wanting us to vote on the 3 new cards to submit in the near future.

Oh, no, I agree -- fixing errors is fair game. I was just saying that I was pretty inexperienced when I PMed and I didn't know that. Wink

And yes, tedious is the word for it. We vote to vote a vote limit, but we need to decide on a limit for the vote for the vote limit, but then we need to vote on the vote for the vote limit's vote, plus we need to vote on the vote's vote's vote's vote. You know? Laughing

As per the PM imposed 24 hour limit, we need to figure out how much time we still have to submit and if we should start submitting them now or if we should wait for cues from them to do it. Do you mind e-mailing them about that? Perhaps whenever we have imposed time limits from the PMs, we should cut the agreed timer in half to ensure that we do not break the game? That would be 12 hours in this case. This is going to require another vote, won't it? Laughing

Edit: I fail miserably. Thank you Pia. Embarassed

Edit 2: I feel so lost. I thought we already chose one of the three cards? No wait...the Chariot wasn't connected to that. Right? *scratches head* Dunce

No need to fret just yet. I emailed about the 3 cards as soon as I saw them, and here is the response:

Quote:
LA,

The current configuration on the blog is not an opportunity to submit cards, but rather serves a different purpose, which will become clear soon.

The additional card submission opportunities mentioned previously will take place under slightly different circumstances, offering a new set of challenges for the Keepers. We promise there will be no ambiguity as to how and when to submit a card.

Sincerely,
Sivvy, Ginny, Annes, Melia, & Norma

I also asked if we were to chose a card to be flipped over. Guess that is a no as well Smile

ETA: SPI, we have technically placed 2 cards into the Celtic Cross spread (although the first 3 cards do not go straight across as in the new blog post.) We have placed the Magician in spot 1 and the Chariot in spot 2. (This was confirmed to me in an email quoted somewhere in the last few pages here but I am too lazy to look for it and I don't expect anyone else to either lol) These 3 cards are apparently something else entirely. I can't wait to see what!

Pia: You are on top of the blog posts today!!! Very Happy

I do not particularly care if you like the way that i convery myself. I will continue to speak how i wish, and be honest about my feelings.

I am more than happy to compromise and have done so a number of times, what i dont really appreciate is the mere jumping in and others having no respect for others so i kindly ask if you feel that you do not like the way i regard myself then please, do not interact with me.

I will not stop playing a game i am kinda enjoying just because you do not like the way i convey myself, NOR will i change to please you.

Now im not going to post again on the matter SPI, because its just taking up board space. So if we could get back to the game in hand...

The point of my post was to demonstrate that while you have every right to convey yourself in any manner you so choose, and while you have every right to say whatever you deem necessary, the other keepers (including myself, though it wasn't for me that I said this) also have those same rights. It is perfectly okay for us to speak openly -- just as I say that I lack respect for you - you can say that you don't care - and the game goes on, ignorant of our chosen stupidities.

Essentially, I have no desire to change you or to take away this game from you (I said as much in my other post). I only have a desire to be heard and to make sure that others are heard (especially that others are heard). You have claimed that same desire. You post under the same ideals, truly, so we are not enemies in this task. Rock On

Onward! Cool

yeah onward. I dont think i ws so bothered about the whole submission of the card just that not everyone had voted on the submission or had an imput. Everyone should have a say. But i believe that we have kinda sorted that

I think if the card choice is obvious, then the keeper of that card should just run it by and then submit it. I dont think there should ness be anymore rules Razz hopefully we will get a clearer choice next time - i asked about the 3 more cards and was told that it would all become clear. I think there might be more informaton to come out with regards to what to do with the new blog post. At least i hope thats the case.

I would like to think you are right, but in tarot nothing is ever clear. It is always up to interpretation. If we throw in the fact that cards can be presented upside down, that doubles the possibilities of what can be used. It will be interesting to see how this works, if at all. It may end up being a free-for-all, which will change the game entirely. Only time will tell.

I think I was able to vote twice. I think. I voted for answers 2 and 3. Was anyone else able to vote more than once? I wonder what will come of this survey. *scratches chin*

I tried to vote twice just to test your theory. It only counted my first vote.

Ahem.
For all of you whom are upset or disappointed by last night's chain of events, you may all place your blame on ME. I claim full responsibility for ALL of it.

I realized they were asking for a card. I waited. I thought about sending one in, I even had the email with attachment ready to go. I took it upon MYSELF to post here instead and ask for a cardkeeper consensus.
What some of you are failing to remember is there are no 'rules'. Myself or anyone else could have gone their own way and submitted any card. I did what I thought was right. I didn't wait longer to submit because 1) we were told that our 3 protagonists would have to submit 3 more cards within 24 hours and 2) who knows who else is playing this outside our group. Waiting too long might have meant a vote in vain, who knows.
With 21 of us listed, I find it will be impossible to get EVERYONE's input on EVERY vote.... unless we exchange phone numbers, which is highly unlikely. This is why I never liked doing things in groups as a kid, one person usually gets shafted with responsibility and someone always gets butthurt. This is supposed to be fun.

Heh, butthurt.

It is what it is. The best we can do is try to be accommodating. Like I said, I have a feeling the vote system isn't going to work out so well, but we can give it a shot. HP is totally correct, there are no rules.

In the end, what earth shattering thing happened from HP sending in the card? Wait, nothing? Ok, not the end of the world. If there is one thing my parents taught me as a child, it is that life isn't fair. To steal HP's term, the more people get butthurt the more likely people are to try and piss them off in the future for being butthurt to begin with.

As for voting, I seriously have tried to vote in the survey more than once a bunch of times now. Maybe you guys have super powers!

Won't attempt the survey twice since once was a stretch for me. And LOL HappyPhantom: Reckon we all "realized they were asking for a card". That's why we were submitting card choices here and not burrito fillings choices. Smile
