TTA's video style changed a lot during Season 1. In the Signal video it says "come back, find me", and Jay goes back to the house. And he finds Masky.

Addition happened before, Jay being filmed in the house where he found Masky. Always Masky.

In my opinion, Tim's alter ego was making videos (even the Exit one) and Hoody took control. Do you remember Warning? Tim's almost having a seizure on tape, maybe back then Hoody took his medication like in entry #61 and filmed it.

Before Warning and Entry #####, the only case (that i can remember) where TTA wrote "us" was in Messages, "tell us you've been keeping secrets." Soon after it appears an image of TIM, written "smile for the camera." Maybe he was beginning to be controled by Hoody. Also in "Attention", it was written "return to us".

I know that's kind of a trip but maybe "us" means "us" the public, the audience, the people who are watching Jay's videos. It could fit but only in these two videos.

Until Hoody made Warning and Entry #####. The reason why I think these were the first Hoody videos is, well, different style and the subtle change to first person of plural. "We". At that time even Jay said on his twitter account that he was thinking there were a group of people behind ToTheArk, not only one person.

But know I can organize some thoughts, maybe they were working together since the very beginning and around Entry ##### Hoody took control. I'm not sure yet. But I remain faithful to my theory, I believe Hoody is controling Masky.

Wow, I can't believe I forgot those things. Maybe you are right. If so, that makes Mask smarter than we give him credit for. Also remember when we thought Jay was posting some of the weird stuff? I would speculate more but apparently jay is immune to slender sickness because he no longer show any effects

The "Jay is immune" theory has popped up in the past, and I held it myself before dropping it for lack of evidence. It would be very interesting to know the how and why, if it turns out to be true.

My personal theory has been that Totheark was originally just supposed to be Masky. But, as the series has evolved, they've managed to add new layers to the story and characters that still fit reasonably well with the beginning of the series. Almost like the Metal Gear Solid series, if it wasn't filled with retcons.

Something else I never thought about

Why would Alex try to kill Jay and Jessica if he knew the operator could just make them vanish.

Let's also keep in mind Jessica has never once called Jay in the two years she's been gone. Assuming she hasn't gotten herself killed, that's something to think about. I'm just picturing the operator side effects breaking her cell phone and her not having a way of getting jay's number anymore lol

Exactly my thoughts, which is why I was questioning season 1 canon yesterday.

I was being a tiny bit sarcastic. I don't think he is immune. I think that either a) the operator is backing off from him (maybe targeting Alex or goody) or b)
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
they forgot that slender sickness and sleepwalking was important and interesting

It is probably a though

That is really interesting, and I've never thought about it that way. Everybody keeps weaving in and out of each other's lives except Jessica. When Alex tried to run away, he got sucked right back into things. The same thing with Jay, when he was about to leave the hotel. And with Tim, too. Jessica is obviously an important character, yet she has seemingly disappeared inexplicably. Very strange now that you mention it.

Something I thought was noteworthy, was that in Entry #51, when Brian is being dragged away, it seemed that Tim was missing from the room now (which someone on here mentioned). Now, it could be anyone, but what if Tim became "Masky" during whatever happened and after it was over, found Brian and dragged him away to safety. This could imply that Masky was looking out for his friend Hoody, who at this point could have not of been full on, 24/7, intelligent Hoody. I don't know. Just something. It could have been anyone. Alex, Tim/Masky, Hoody..or someone you least expect.

Also, speaking about the theory of Jay being immune or not directly attacked by The Operator, it could be his camera that is what protects him. Because I think and it seems likely that the camera is an important part of what is happening. I dunno, just some thoughts.

I wonder if Hoody might have saved Brian by dragging him off, and then another question:
If that's true, then who IS Hoody? Shocked

I was reminded of this too and

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
oog: I doubt this is a coincidence

Definitely not a coincidence!
If Hoody was actually the one that dragged Brian away, then that pretty would awesome, and also mean that Hoody was around during the "filming" of Marble Hornets.
Shocked

There is also the possibility that it was Jay, since Jay doesn't remember any of those events. But he is starting to become a passive narrator..

This is kind of just a joke but Entry #67 is briefly in 3D (pictured).
If you use 3D glasses it sort of looks like it works (or it might be my imagination).

This isn't really important, but it seems like a strange way for the tape to mess up. Does that usually happen with ruined tapes? It's never happened to me before.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It looks like a bad case of hue distortion, interlacing and disc rot.
