So trosephim didn't work on the script it looks like.

None of the people working on it really have any film work with notable movies, and the ones they did ended up having super low production value (paranormal activities). The main producer is apparently known for comedy stuff, which doesn't play into MH at all. It comes off as just another slender series with slightly higher production value. If the MH guys didn't work on it, then it's not really MH unless they're re-writing the entire story

So yeah, not excited for this at all. And if I'm not excited enough to see it and I love MH, then I can only imagine the average person who hasn't heard of MH will really not give a shit at all. Really hope trosephim don't put any financing into this because I can totally see it flopping hard.

Hell there's already a movie coming out that rips off MH enough that Baru was involved with and it looks dumb. Don't mean to be a pessamist, but I have no idea what they're thinking here. Kiril needs to leave his grubby little paws off of this series

Yes, I too know how to read and look things up. A bunch of people who worked on comedy and c-list things that most people have never heard of aren't going to just put out a mindblowingly awesome horror movie out of nowhere. I'm sure they have the passion to get it made, I'm just saying you can't sit there and tell me those people who have no real fame in the media industry are going to blow this thing out of the water. The most notable thing I see on any of their pages is PActivity, and not a single one of those movies had a real horror moment. Plus you're taking the assistant director on those, so this is most likely to be some of theirs first movie.

All I'm saying is that the list of people hired to produce this movie don't seem to have anything worthwhile horror related under their belt, so don't expect the story of the series to sell people on it. Wouldn't be surprised if it goes straight to DVD.

I get wanting to make money, but turning down a tv series for a movie was the complete wrong move for MH.

Wow. Am I the only person who is VERY apprehensive? I feel like it's gonna suck, but I don't want anything attached to Marble Hornets to suck.
I assume this is how The Last Airbender fans feel.

Personal opinions of what these "c-list" people are worth does not make it a reality. These people know the movie formula, and they know it well. The script writer isn't very notable, however; I will give you that.

I don't want it to suck either, I don't think anyone does. I'm just keeping in mind that this is an adaptation of trohsephim's MH and that they're not really working on the movie at all from what troy made it sound like, even though they're the most suitable to be the directors of the movie and have proven their worth.

Again, I think it's just going to be another slender series using the MH mythology instead of the other series'. I don't think this is going to have anything to do with the story we have grown to know, unless they completely re-write it.

I agree with you Provado, but to be fair, Troy and Joseph were noobs at horror. They aren't even big fans of scary things. So the fact that they can make such a good series, and that this movie's script has their seal of approval, I'm willing to give it a shot.

Wait.... One thing no one has mentioned...actors....

Are they going to get people to play Alex, Jay, and Tim? Or are Alex, Jay, and Tim going to star in this (like an AR thing?)

Or will this be from someone else's POV?

Pretty much.

And I have mixed feelings about this whole thing; I'm really excited and happy for the guys, but I'm nervous that the final product will not be so good. However, I don't think Trosephim would just jump at something without thinking it through, so I'll just trust them on this.

Troy said they can't actually reveal how involved they are in the project, so we can't say anything for sure.

And now we get back to the whole debate that we had a week ago on here. I'm just going to let it be known that everything that I ever post on here is opinion even if stated as fact. I should just put it in my sig already.

I just really hope they watched paranormal activity before handing over the rights Laughing

I hope you're right, but as of now, we don't know anything.

For the moment, I'm not very excited. I'm hoping for the best though, as I assume everyone else is.

:/ You do realize that that Kirill Baru guy didn't really work on Paranormal Activity(any of them). He found a copy of it in the mail room and showed it to his bosses. That's it. That's his claim to fame.

Yes, I know this. There are very few things I don't know about MH and the people involved that is public knowledge.
