well I don't want to be too too specific because while I think it's cool to share with you guys (the diehard fans since day one), we aren't technically supposed to talk about the film. I didn't give any major plot details or anything, so I think it's fine, but we did sign an NDA or something.

1. this was in hollywood at the chinese 6,

2. no clue if the filmmakers or anyone was there, they were not introduced to us. I think they may have been sitting in a little elevated area at the back?

3-4. I'm not going to give out too much of this info, as it could get me taken off their list, and I see a lot of movies through them. I will say that it's not GoFobo. If you go to a lot of screenings in LA, then this will sound familiar to you -- it's the screening service that requires you to fill out a white card with your info beforehand, and then they usually give you a small green ticket to go inside. you have to do some airport security before you can get in, though.

5. I'm on all of the lists there are in LA. It was an email invite, but you have to fill out a prescreening survey online beforehand.

6. the questionnaire was one sheet, double-sided, and we were asked to list our favourite and least favourite scenes, how much we liked the movie, and whether we would recommend it to friends. there was also a list of adjectives and we had to check which ones we thought described the movie. afterwards, they went around and approached several groups and asked them to stay behind and give more detailed feedback. I wasn't asked, but I have done this before for THE DICTATOR and the new Adam Sandler/Drew Barrymore movie that's coming out where they go to Africa.

you guys need to chill, though. with the exception of Scorpius, you don't know too much about movie screenings (very common in LA), and are waaayyy too suspicious

Thank you for answering. But the MH community here is a dedicated crowd. Would it be possible to screencap your email invite and redact the sensitive information so that we can all see? I have a cinemit and 43kix membership and I saw nothing.

Or if it is easier, just PM me. I won't send out any info and the fans on here and The Hoody Hub will trust my word on it.

I can probably just say that it was done via The Screening Exchange (http://www.thescreeningxchange.com/ -- I highly recommend signing up if you're in the LA area), but I can't repost invites, it explicitly says not to and this forum is too public.

"This email is intended only for the person or entity to which it is addressed and it's image or content may not be reposted, displayed in a public forum, copied, transmitted, or used by any other person or entity. If it's illegal to post that on a forum then why did you tell us about the movie?

This is fishy as all hell man I don't believe you sorry.

Either IMDB, an entire site based on movie reviews and descriptions is wrong, or you, some random person who went to see it, who offer no proof, and doesn't really seem to know what he saw is wrong.

Me thinks you didn't see the real movie.

An entire site based on movie reviews that can be edited by ANYONE. The current synopsis is most likely a placeholder.

They still have admins that have to accept whether or not changes are made to pages. Anything like that is a placeholder or a stupid/lazy admin

About the 8k budget thing.

IMDB still ists "The Operator" as "Marble Hornets". A short film called "The Operator" is also listed for 2014, and has an 8k budget.

Fake and gay. Believing a Reddit troll is like believing /b/. Fail stickers for all of your tests.

that's kinda offensive, dude. incidentally, I'm gay, and I don't really understand your usage in this context?

It's kind of a meme of sorts. Whenever a popular youtube video would be posted it was popular to claim "Fake and gay" on them.

I don't think it's meant to be taken seriously.

Now I do know for a fact movie studios DO screen early versions of movies and make changes based on feedback. No reason this can't be the case for The Operator.
