Again, fanofslender, providing a screencap of your email invite and using Paint or a similar program to black out the sensitive information would suffice.

The problem we are having is that you have made a very raucous claim with your very first post, that sets off red flags.
Also, as I have said, I have not seen this film appear on any of my advanced screenings sources, which raises a red flag for me personally.

In regards to the NDA "tl;dr" isn't a valid argument, especially if the company finds out. You should always assume that once filling out an NDA, you should err on the side of "I better not say any details on a public forum"
Talk with your friends/family is okay, posting online only that you saw it is okay, but detailed info about plot synopsis and such is just not legal.


The combination of your first-time status, resistance to provide any proof that you went to this screening, and careless attitude towards an NDA which you've claimed to have filled numerous times before...just seems like BS, sorry.

I didn't make a 'raucous' claim, all I said was that I saw the movie? I didn't say the MH guys invited me over for dinner and a private screening. I mean the truth is the truth.

I didn't post a detailed plot synopsis at all, I posted a very cursory overview of the story (the characters and the setting), how is that detailed?

Giving out details such as the Operator symbol flesh-burn, the character names etc. is too much detail, especially considering a basic NDA.

And please understand from our point of view: a new user claims to have seen a movie we're all looking forward to and posts plot overviews and details and then goes on to claim favoritism of other Slenderverse series over MH.

Yes, we often overreact to things here on unfiction (I'm guilty of it myself), but this is an extraordinary claim and in order for us to buy any of it, we need to see some kind of proof before we can discuss.

Also, please understand we do this out of pure love and dedication to this series. For years we have been watching these characters and plot grow and twist and turn, the latest entry having many of us in tears because we are so emotionally attached.
If we hear ANY updates about the film, we're going to need proof because our hearts are in deep with this series.

Is there any chance we can see this (redacted) email invite. You may even PM it to me and, like I said, people will take my word for it.

Update everyone, I have received the redacted email followed up by a quick phone call to the Chinese 6 Theater, this is legit.

fanofslender, sorry about the harshness, but you must understand the deepness of this series' fandom here. While in my opinion too much information was leaked, it is interesting to hear any kind of reaction at all. I'll be looking for another test screening if it goes down.

And fanofslender, sorry if this has put you off, but frankly, you did just about everything you could to bring this on yourself. First of all, there was no reason to get offended at our asking for proof. It doesn't matter that your claims weren't particularly outrageous, because when you come in claiming to have inside info on a movie no one else here has seen yet, and there was nothing else on the net suggesting that the screening actually happened except a fricking Reddit thread, obviously people are going to be a bit skeptical. Then, you proceed to:

-insult our intelligence
-show very little understanding of/respect for the whole NDA thing for someone who apparently goes to these screenings frequently
-make no effort to actually provide any evidence in your own favor and instead get angry at everyone for asking for proof

I mean seriously. I don't know if you just don't get around the internet much, but people make BS claims about things like this all the time, there's more than enough reason to be a little suspicious. And when your claim involves the movie being less-than-stellar, which all of us would kinda hope is *not* true, what did you expect?

Even now we technically don't have proof that your claims about the content are true, but while I'm not going to take your every word as the gospel truth here, I do think you're being truthful because someone I'd trust seems to believe there's reasonable evidence pointing to your having seen this and you have no real reason to lie.

Not suggesting that there wasn't some overreaction from the folks here, though. I think everyone's a little grumpy because we haven't had any new MH recently.

And sorry if this post isn't reading especially coherently, I'm still just waking up right now.

Also, Puppet, did you read Scorpius's post earlier? No, we technically don't have proof or pics, but we have the word of a regular member here who's not known for being the sort to make shit up. You don't have to believe it, but your posts seem to imply you haven't really been reading the thread you're replying to at all...
