And then there will be "Marble Hornets 5", and then there will be "The Operator Vs. Toby" and it will just be a big flop.

Man... MAN.
I wouldnt get a chance to watch this movie anyway, absolutely not going to happen in my country.
What about the actors? Will Tim Troy and Joseph play them?

If it's an indie film, then mabye(if they want to). If it's a studio production, then no. I think indie films are actually the only films where the actors don't always have to sign up with SAG in order to do the movie. I could be mistaken though.

I would actually REALLY enjoy to see a major studio slenderman movie. Probably not directly marble hornets though, Ifeel like it would kind of ruin the magic. There would be something extremely satisfying about watching a horror myth from its inception all the way to a feature length film. I could see hollywood totally bastardizing something created by theinternet, so it could really go either way.

I'm part of the group of people who genuinely like the PA movies.

Dop eet already!

I kinda liked those movies too. Only I thought the ending to the 4th one was kinda bullshit. But that's just me. Razz

How was that the only one you hated, they all end the same exact way

We're all wiser to the movie industry's tricks now though. I never saw Paranormal Activity, but I think if they could make the movie work (for people that obviously aren't here) I'm a bit hopeful this could turn out ok. Surprised no one's mentioned Blair Witch Project yet. What if the whole movie is raw film from a movie the protagonist made where the Operator makes brief appearances, but only really shows up at the end?

You basically just described season 1 lol and I'd be fine if it was loosely based on season 1, because that was my favorite.

I brought up Blair Witch, but honestly, think about it. How would that make sense that we're seeing this film? I know it's a movie and how a bunch of movies did the same thing and it worked, but Marble Hornets is different. Blair Witch/Cloverfield/Paranormal Activity/etc. are all about the whole "raw found footage" but none of those have a whole web series behind it. Changing from a "realistic" standpoint of a guy posting on YouTube and updating on Twitter to watching a 1 1/2 hour or so movie changes the series completely, and it doesn't really feel like Marble Hornets anymore. As I said I could be wrong and maybe it can be pulled off. I don't wanna bash something before it's out, but I'm not setting my hopes high for it at all, and sorta expect it to not be very good. I can tell one thing however... There is almost a 100% chance of the monologue text before/after the entries will be completely gone, considering I really don't see how the movie would be in the format of the series. I'm kinda thinking it won't have any characters from the web series, and will be unrelated but sort of inspired by Marble Hornets, but once again I could be wrong. I really hope that they don't make it in the same "universe" as the web series, considering the whole point is that the small circle of people affected by The Operator turns to a "oh it happens to a bunch of people."

I know I'm not optimistic about this at all, but really imo I think it's a bad idea and will be done horribly. Just think about how Slenderman stuff is the "cool" thing to do now. I'd kinda imagine the movie would cater to the Slenderman general audience and will not be very good. Once again, I can't actually bash it before it's out, because who knows, it could be awesome, but I expect anything but that as of right now.
