Like was said, it was pretty shitty to post unmarked spoilers about a movie only a few people have seen. Also reflects badly on the film's team that they just chose random people to go see it, including somebody who can't keep his mouth shut and most likely violated the NDA. But then, I expected this movie to be handled terribly from the start. Thank goodness it isn't a remake of the original story, I don't exactly want to see that butchered.

Agreed about the NDA, but picking random people to test screen is exactly what the industry does, because it's technically random people who go and see it when it's released.
Test screeners are also technically not random. They sign up for a membership to get notified of test screenings and are supposed to not have any affiliation with the industry for legal reasons.

Just because we have the word of a "regular member" (eighty posts since July is regular now, apparently), that doesn't mean we have solid irrefutable proof. A screenshot is all we ask, because I still smell bullshit, and I don't think I'm the only one.

If it's a matter of the NDA I managed to get a hold of Tim, although he gave me the usual runaround of "I can neither confirm nor deny that there was a screening" so that wasn't much help.

In my opinion, Tim's statement is probably more proof that something happened. Normally, people don't stonewall like that unless there is something that they are not telling you.

Of course, I haven't been paying attention to the movie-Troseph interactions, so I could be wrong.

Agreed. This is typical legalese for yes it happened and no I can't talk about it. Kind of sucks if it's all true. They're clearly not interested in the source material if it is.

Huh guess you have a point, well then it's not confirmed or denied but so far from what evidence we have it's leaning towards "it happened".

No it's not typical "legalese" for yes it happened and no I can't talk about it. The phrase means what it says. You're just hearing what you want to hear

Since when is a member's "regularity" dictated by their post count and time since account creation Rolling Eyes

A poster claimed they had been in a test audience for the movie. Some of what they saw is way out of left field as far as Marble Hornets is concerned (apparently there's a scene where the Operator symbol gets burned into a person's arm). Other posters were skeptical that fanofslender had been to a test screening, as discussing that information is apparently a federal offence that gets taken very seriously. Cue arguing.

Oh, wait. I remember seeing a post like that, but I don't remember the burning operator symbol part at all so its probably a newer post.

Anyways, I really hope a trailer arrives soon.

It's not a criminal offense. It's a breach of contract. It's up to the film studio to pursue remedies, which they might or might not do.

The arguing over the last few pages was pretty funny to me actually, haha. I think people were less upset about fanofslender's attitude or whatever than they were just befuddled and upset/disappointed by the content of the spoilers since they are unprecedented in the series and are frankly confusing (to use a kind word for it). I think people were taking out their shock/disappointment on him a little bit. But yeah, if what he says is true, that's pretty fucking strange lol.

Also, Twisted, you should calm down man haha. You sound so fuckin pissed/upright. I thought you would've learned your lesson after flipping your lid hardcore about that typing video the Quadrant TTA led to. Wink
