From the credits, I noticed a "Marble Hornets LLC". Didn't know that existed.

Trailer looks pretty good, apart from that horrible-looking title. Kinda reminds me of season 1.

They kind of went overboard with the symbols, but most of it looked true to the series. Also, Victor Surge was listed as one of the producers. Did we already know he was involved?

We did not!

By "we" I'm assuming you mean you and me.

Victor Surge and Kirill Baru are Exec Producers.

Hmm... Isn't that often done with Indie movies, in particular, though--forma limited liability corporation pertaining to the movie itself and all related activities, etc.?

Oh my god. Apart from the title screen, it's not completely awful. I really want this to be good. Please be good.
I'm just glad to finally have some footage from the movie to see.

I feel good that I have kept my hopes up after seeing the trailer. Though I was also hoping that it wasn't going to be found footage. I would've liked to have seen it shot differently. But I guess if they're keeping with the spirit of the series, it makes sense.

But, God help me, if there is shaky-cam abuse, I will be unnecessarily angry.

Part of what made Marble Hornets so immersive was that it was (technologically) lacking. This allowed for regular looking, non makeuped everyday people to be the characters, and the shots were done with a simple video camera and they never worried about "getting a cool shot". That's what made the series so damn good. It didn't waste time trying to be glamorous.

I don't know if Victor Surge is directly involved. I think that as the creator of TSM they sort of need to involve/credit him in any full-blown commercial works based on the character (so not like every vlog ever but bigger things like movies and videogames).

Gotta agree with the symbol thing, they use it everywhere. And that title does look a little lacking or too much like something you'd throw together in MS Powerpoint in a few seconds. But I was certain we'd see a big development if not a release just before the new series starts, after all it's a certain someone's birthday on Saturday Wink

I just don't get why they are relasing it in under a month but we have still yet to get an official poster or actual trailer. I don't even think they have released the full casting or synopsis yet. Now, I've seen a ton of crappy indie horror films, but I've never seen something with as bad of a promotion as this. These guys are professional film makers making a film with fairly big names attached to it. But yet, the way the director informs us of the VOD release date is with a twitter link to a fan made tumblr post reporting from a twitch stream. I could do better, and I'm a 16 year old high school student with absolutely no experience in the film industry. Nothing about this makes sense.

Nailed it!

But no, the trailer is actually really good imo! I mean I was expecting like.... bad. Like, really fucking bad. I don't think it's gonna be like, Cindarella 2 straight to VHS kind of bad. I think it might be kinda good, the throwback-ness of it and there's a couple Slenderman appearances in the trailer are subtle as fuck.

Also, this should give us a solid idea of how Trosephim might follow up Marble Hornets, as in, same universe, different cast with different problems. Because, this movie is also in the same universe... right?

The trailer does look good, if it turns out that this film is actually well made then it'll only be more tragic as it never got the promotion or attention it deserved. But then again I can't imagine many distributors wanting to release a movie about a character that inspired a stabbing.

Ohh, geez, I didn't think about the effect that would have on the movie. I doubt, since that all happened a while ago, that the uproar would be to much. But you never know.

But then he would have gotten either a creator credit or, as he'd already made public recognition of The Operator as a separate character from Slender Man, a "Special Thanks" if he didn't have some kind of hand in it...
