Honestly, I think this was kind of a short, spur-of-the-moment, "Hey, we might not post anything substantial for a while, but we're still on the case."

Though I'm really curious why both beds were unmade. It's apparent that Tim wasn't saying with Jay, since he had to ask what room to come to. This could be as simple as "Jay slept in both beds at some point," but that seems unusual, even for him.

Unless anyone notices something more telling (or something comes up next entry), I'm going to assume this was last night/this morning (3:42 am) for the purposes of the Wiki timeline.
Scratch that. This lines up more closely to Jay's tweets Thursday morning.

Just an observation, the video was age-restricted. I needed to use my series channel to view it, because it has my age as 18 as opposed to my real age. Thoughts?

@C.K.DexterHaven: I think YouTube flagged it that way automatically. I'm not sure what criteria they use. It didn't come up that way for me. Were you logged in?

Also, I forgot to mention this in my other comments, but is anyone else picking up an "Operator interference" vibe from Jay's camera at the beginning? It could be due to brightness artifacting (static inherent to lossy video compression enhanced because the brightness was increased in post-processing), but it looked like the room was well-lit enough while Jay was in the bathroom.
Wrong again. He only had the bathroom light on. Artifacting it is.

Also, did the TV image look like a still-frame to anyone else?

Pleasantly surprised by this entry.

My thoughts:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Jay's having nightmares and coughing stuff up? That's never a good sign. I watched the window the whole time to see hints of the operator and saw nothing.

What is Jay watching on the TV? I can't make anything out.

Tim's phone call caused the camera to lose focus? That's a weird effect. He can even interfere with footage remotely.

At first I thought that the sudden silence at 0:31 meant something weird was happening, but then realised it must have been running water. Whatever Jay is coughing up needs to be washed away. Another bloody sink?

I love how the truck in the distance gave an accidental jump scare as Jay turned the corner. At least it did for me.

Glad to see Jay locking the door properly and using the eyehole. Just the right level of paranoia going on there. And he's still living out of a single bag of mostly tapes and cameras, plus whatever he has in his car. That's not pleasant.

Looking forward to a totheark response to this one. I'm expecting footage of Jay and Tim taken from across the street or something like that.

All in all a nice entry. Nothing huge, but plot moved forward, there were some ominous bits and if it's anything like Entry #32 we can expect some awesomeness to come soon. I got the feeling that this was Jay's way of "calling home" to let us all know he was okay.

I think that it wasn't required for this step in the plot, and the video seems out of place. This would be in line with Season 1 or 2, especially 2, as to give the feeling that Jay has most likely been constantly distraught throughout the nights and finally makes the decision to leave because of it. Season 3 is much less of this and much more of explosive events surrounding their situations popping up as they move closer towards answers.

All I hope is that it does not warrant any amount of 'push back' for the next entry's date.

But hey, new entry, never a bad thing. Weird how there was so much distortion in the beginning and nothing came of it though. Also, this entry did something I've been waiting for. It's the first entry in MONTHS where they didn't mention the FUCKING HOSPITAL.

God they can't leave that location soon enough.

I don't think that was distortion, it was just the sound of Jay running the sink in the bathroom.

Also, leaving Rosswood Town means new locations! Very Happy

I'll be honest, I had a sudden "WHAT THE UNGODLY FUCK" moment when I saw it say "We've done" Then realised it was followed by "too much just to quit now."

I think more than anything that this episode was filmed for the DVD. after all, tweets cant be shown in it. Still, i kinda liked it, i was nervous when the knocking on the door happened, thought it was gonna be Alex. Not to mention it is a .5 episode, so it is foolish to think anything really important was going to happen.

Yep. I'm thinking it's either footage of Jay sleeping and he's checking it, like he did back in Entry #24. Either that or he (somehow) managed to get a video feed of some nearby CCTV and he's making sure Alex isn't outside.

EDIT:

Two guys meeting in a motel room at 3:40am and only one unmade bed? Wink

That was really unexpected. Seeing this in my sub box gave me a jolt of surprise. Also, interesting that we're getting a .5 entry dedicated to this rather than just a tweet. I suppose this is for the benefit of people who don't follow the MH twitter.

I was half expecting for Alex to show up, the first half of this entry was somewhat unnerving for some reason. I thought it was cool that Jay actually finally acknowledged the danger of posting his plans online. Razz

Anyway, they're finally leaving Rosswood Town and that's more than cool with me. Can't wait to see where they end up. Super hyped for future entries. Very Happy

The way it ended tells me that the series is going on a short hiatus to get everything in order for the finale. In theory there is only 5 "normal" Marble Hornets entries left if they follow the same 26 numbered entry formula of previous seasons.

S1 and S2 both being 26 entries was a coincidence according to Word of God. S3 will be as long as it needs to be
