I still wonder about the tape that makes up Entry #22. We find out about it from the papers Jay found saying "at the tower". Is that what Alex wrote, or did TTA/Tim write it on there and leave the tape there? If TTA, how did they get the tape? If Alex left it there, why did he hide it there?

And since we're on the subject of Alex's shenanigans, why did he keep the tape of him giving Brian over to TO, but not the tape about Tim or the one about Seth? (And, presumably, a tape of him handing Jay over, as I assume happened.)

I wonder in Entry #22 what exactly was Alex's excuse for dragging Seth there. He mentions someone or something "went upstairs" or "fled upstairs". I wonder-did he explicitly tell Seth they were looking for TO, or did he use "find Brian and Tim" as his excuse since he'd already dealt with them?

Also has it been confirmed that the Basement of Doom is supposed to be the basement to the hospital IG?

Last note. I love Tim's snarking about Alex's script. Poor Alex. He must've missed the class on writing dialogue. XD

Has anyone else noticed in 'Messages' Tim's face and mask in the video at about 0:22 to the end? Tim's face is at the top of the screen and the mask is at the bottom.

@aidansean: Oh yeah, forgot that Tim had his tape.

@Hazman: Like aidansean said, Alex was going to burn *all* the tapes, and emphasized *all*. So I'm not sure.

I know we keep saying Season 1 was sort of the experimentation stage, but I still think they're good enough writers that they'll try to tie in the things we see as plotholes. Something tells me a lot of these inconsistencies are somehow Plot Relevant.

Too many questions. Makes my head spin. XD

(Also yes I noticed that clip of Tim's face as well. Another thing used to show that Tim was Masky before Entry #35.)

I found it slightly ironic that while Jay and Alex are discussing the script (and apparently revealing blurb gets cut out), the following exchange occurs:

Jay: It's a whole lot of power to get someone like him.

Alex: Yeah, uh, you know, pretty much everyone's at risk...it's a terrifying place.


I guess pretty much everyone was at risk of getting pwned by Alex at that point.

Entry #17. I think it's funny how Jay is the only one with a jacket. Alex and Tim are kinda "hot" with the Operator around. Jay obviously doesn't remember this because it is with them, he was facing it across the window, maybe not really seeing it but definetly looking at its direction.

Signal. "come back find me". Me, singular, not "us". In my opinion, TTA = Tim (at this moment). It could also be Hoody, maybe he was at the house in Entry #18 too but Jay only found Tim. I dont think so because "find me" not "find us".

Entry #18. "The same audio distortion in Alex's tapes can be heard at the end of the video." I think this implies the Operator was around during Masky's confrontation, even tho Masky himself does cause distortion (like Hoody) but not the same as the Operator.

Messages. Again, i think it's Tim. "Us" would mean the audience, because Masky (and Hoody, if (s)he was around) had already known Jay was recording himself. We didn't. Also the ship sinking gave it a dramatic touch, does it mean Jay was "sinking" too because of his paranoia?

Sorry to be so late to the party for week 2, but I thought I had nothing constructive to add until a second viewing when I remembered the following:

In Entry #11, what does Alex hear that wakes him up/alerts him to the operator that the camera doesn't hear? How does he know to go downstairs? That one has alway bothered me a little. Also, this is after entries 1 and 6, right?

In Entry #12 the cameraperson (Seth or Sarah?) moves the camera to the wrong point (ie getting the operator in frame.) Is this on purpose? Let's assume this takes place before Entry #9 and that the Seth is camera person. That would explain why Alex is being such a douche in Entry #9 and why we don't see the operator in that entry. /crazy_speculation

Less seriously: In Impurity all I see is totheark saying "Ooooooooooh!"

Entry #13: I've always thought this is the first time Alex encountered the operator symbol. I don't think he put it there himself. And why does he take so long to get to the "money shot" at the end?

Exit: Who filmed this? Seriously? And did Alex get a new car since Entry #7?

Entry #14: A new kind of visual tear. Interesting. Once more, Alex can sense things the camera can't. Why did Jay omit the footage between Alex going back to bed and Alex being all bloody? Entry #15: Tim is drinking water, again. Why does Tim remember significantly more of the summer of 2006 than Jay does? Some people think that this interview reminded Tim of 2006, so he reverted to masky, but maybe this video told Hoody where Tim was, so Hoody could re-mask him.
