 		I think that Alex was a victim, and that the only doctoring he did to those tapes was to remove the audio. He was being stalked by the Operator, and the things he did to the cast and crew towards the end of that summer is merely the result of prolonged exposure to TO's influence. We saw the stages of it, as Jay pointed out Alex's increasingly strange behavior as filming progressed.

Given that at 9:30 in Entry #64 the audio goes silent for Jay, and he has no reason to remove audio, the silence was probably caused by the operator. I don't think Alex removed any audio from the tapes. Operator chases tend to make things silent for some reason.

Problem with that theory is that in season 1 totheark would sometimes post the removed audio from entries in his own videos, like in his Operator video.

Well tapes all look the same. And Alex wanted to just leave it all behind. So I doubt he wanted to look through all the tapes to figure out which were which

 		There's kind of a difference though between burning them and giving them to a person who is so bad at keeping secrets that he literally follows up his post 'He also highly discouraged me from showing any if it to anyone else.' with Entry #1 and 2 Razz Just seems like a kind of sloppy way to handle tapes with possibly incriminating stuff on them

 		I was actually wondering about this the other day. Best I can figure is that Alex just assumed that Jay would forget about the tapes, but that's kind of weak. Though he didn't give Jay all of the tapes he had, so maybe he wasn't being completely honest.

 		Alex probably gave Jay all the tapes that didn't reveal the crew going missing or him doing anything questionable in order to get Jay off his back. Kind of backfired on him.

Well yes, but I was thinking more, Entry 10 and TTA's Operator video. I'm pretty sure Alex was alone in Entry 10, aside from TO.
