I think H's diversion refers to Harker (Caretaker) and his plans to create a diversion so Jake can access the admin systems at Neotech.

As to what SCAMPATH means, I'm at as much of a loss as GB.

Well I tried an angram just for the hell of it....but whatever it is it isn't "spamchat" (which my innocent little self had no idea what it was before googling it as a possibility and getting locked in a revolving door of hell). Embarassed

To me this looks unfinished.
Like: SCAMPATH's diversion stabilizes in..3..2..1
Or: SCAMPATH's diversion stabilizes in..1903
Or: SCAMPATH's diversion stabilizes in..Catalina

What if the H is what you say it is and it's just SCAMPAT - which if I can read this dictionary right, is a latin word roughly translated to "having a narrow escape"...

Just guessing.

grumpyboy and I simultaneously identified the spinner as being from the game of Life (tm - Milton Bradley)

adding it to this thread rather than starting a new one because it seems relevant:

Reggie updated his blog again:

say hi to mr. blinky.

The blinker is a pattern/"life form" in John Conway's Game of Life. See this site http://www.reed.edu/alife/classes/gameoflife.html for info on Conway's game of life.

Reggie seems to be pointing us towards "life" or "game of life" Confused

Like GB, I'm beginning to see the beginnings of a pattern here: all references to John Conway's "Game of Life". See http://www.math.com/students/wonders/life/life.html.
I think that Baxter's reference to "H's diversion stabilizes in.." might be a suggestion that we need to plug a particular pattern into Conway's simulation and see how many generations it takes the pattern to stabilize. Rolling Eyes O.K. I admit it, I have no idea what I'm talking about.

I've never been good at solving these puzzles. However, grasping at straws appears to be my forte.

I took your advice alogicnamedjoe and plugged in the 1st pic of one blinker which never changes or dies.. the 2nd pic of 2 blinkers dies after 12 cycles and if i put in 3 (since there are 3 b's above the pic) it stabilizes after 22 cycles, so..

H 's diversion stabilizes in.. 22 cycles, hours, minutes, etc..?

Reaching out for a major straw here, but based on the phone calls just received by a couple of people, described here could we be looking at user Jake/pass life on the NRU page?

Could someone try this for me (if it hasn't been tried already) cos my firewall won't let me into the secure NRU pages.

EDIT for bad llepsing
