Do we have to fit these colors in according to the order they are in? Or are they already in the correct order and we have to put them in a different order?
007610
003323
004855
003711
000049
000227
000120
Or none of the above...lol
Shining and Fusing = Sun ?

I'm not sure but the title of the webpage is "The Shining and Fusing Lock, Made of Hydrogen and Helium" if that helps.

A couple of thoughts - page title is "The shining and fusing lock, made of Hydrogen and Helium". This screams "Star" to me - after all they shine, and fuse hydrogen atoms into helium. Could we be looking for the fusion sequence from light->heavy atoms? Or something related to the main sequence of star formation? Just speccing out loud here, really, and I don't have a great track record on this kind of thing so far but what the hell, you never know.

It could also be constellations, as this code appears: <!--conste-->
The key ring is named "primus". This file also exists: http://www.nru.us/control/primus.swf

Nice find. To me this says that the sun is the key. Now where's GB when you need him

The "primus" (a heating device), the triangle (sort of like a prism), a row of colors, "shining and fusing" reminds me of passing starlight through a prism (they do that to tell the composition of stars and planets). As far as I remember, each elements "omits" a few colors of the spectrum, and by identifying the "missing" colors, they can tell what elements the light has passed through, but here is a better explanation:
Quote:
By looking at the different colors that make up white light, scientists can tell a lot about the material that the light is being emitted from. A special device, called a spectrometer, is used to do this. Every element in the periodic table, when it is heated enough to be vaporized, emits its own 'fingerprint' of colors when it is observed with a spectrometer. Here are a few examples:
from http://www.deafhoosiers.com/sci/soarhigh/starspectrum.html
Here is hydrogen:
and helium:
Maybe the combination consists of the colors that both of these elements omit in the light that is passed through them (what most starlight, including the sun's would look like). I'd do more research, but I'm at work now... hope that helps for now.

In chat, using the latin names for numbers, we've found:
http://www.nru.us/control/secundus.swf
http://www.nru.us/control/secundus.gif
http://www.nru.us/control/tertius.swf
None of the larger latin numbers (quartus, quintus, etc.) give results. We're trying to recognize the revealed hole shape in the tertius.swf (once the triangle moves away). Three triangles surrounding a circle.

http://www.nru.us/control/tertius.gif is there, too.
EDIT - got the URL wrong

I think the code can be solved sequentially. I'm basing this on secundus.gif replacing primus.gif on the page, just seems to fit, imo. that's my $0.02

add one for Primus:
http://www.nru.us/control/primus.gif
OK, in Order we have Hexagon (hex hole), Square (square peg), Triangle (the central "keyhole" of triangle has three triangles around a circle)
Does that give us 6, 4, 3, 1?

Just found this:
http://www.thespectroscopynet.com/Educational/sun_and_stars.htm
It says there's seven classifications of stars, corresponding to their dominant element found in their spectra. Thought it might be relevant as there are 7 parts to the password.

CHAT update:
Grumpyboy had an idea that we needed to use the seven stars of the Big Dipper in order of magnitude, I suggested trying the Pleiades since we have seen references to them before. (So far nothing worth noting)
the Telephone number came from an update of the shining and fusing page. (206) BEAST DDAY (beast = 666, DDAY=1944)
Calling that number is a recorded message Revelations 16:19
Quote:
And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath
another update to the lock and key states "emphasize the strengths" under the phone number. We are still working on it... Jooin us in the chat if you can....
