[MOVIE] The Slender Man (2013 YouTube film)

YouTube: Link

A film on the Slenderman.

I think it was good that they did put a lot of focus on the older version of the mythos (being more of a child kidnapper than a teen stalker).

Otherwise, script could be improved, and the distortions can be better.

I would give this a 3/5

What do you guys think?[/u]

Absolutely loved it. First film that I really don't have any negative feeling from. I also like how open ended it felt, as if slendy really wasn't a malicious force out to kill everyone but was unpredictable in nature.

For an less than two hour run, they did well on character development.

I've added it to my favorites on YouTube Smile

I'm halfway through this. Can't wait to see any new surprises. Now, I'm really starting to enjoy this.

My only gripe is that the laptop the detective uses when looking up info about Chase is the same one that Emma used towards the beginning.

The browsers have the same bookmarks.

Other than that it's pretty solid. Acting isn't the greatest but hey neither is Alex's in MH.

Suck it Joseph. lol sorry I have been staring at that video taunting me from my youtube recommended sidebar. I was terrified that anyone that had the time/ money to make a full length movie, would make me crap myself.

Is it scary? or just freaky and cool?

I also loved this. I loved almost every aspect of the movie, besides the momentary shaky acting. I give it a 9/10.

Wait, is this the one that was on Kickstarter a while back? I MUST WATCH THIS. Since I'm home alone and it's dark and who needs sleep anyways.

My heart is still pounding and I have no idea where all these bricks came from. Shocked

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Although I gotta say that girl's screaming was incredibly grating.

I thought it was going to be a creepy documentary but is this a horror film? Should I be watching it home alone in the dark while I do my labs into the wee hours of the morning?

It's a horror film. Still from the "home video" angle, but from three different perspectives. And yes, watch it alone in the dark in the wee hours when no one can hear you scream .

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The acting is about as good as some of the better vlogs out there, so while it's not the greatest it's not horrible.

Pretty much took me half an hour to stop being on edge. The suspense is built up very well.

That was great, I love that it's going back to the original mythos in that he goes after kids. The ending was superb, though I will admit it had me wondering what Emma was skyping with 4 dudes about. I wasn't crazy about their actual model for Slender Man, as most of his appearances just seemed a bit blurry and ill-defined, but that' likely what they were going for. The multiple perspectives was also a fantastic idea.

Best Slender Man film I've seen yet. Easily surpasses the woefully underwhelming Hylo.

I just finished watching it and I must echo what others have said. The acting isn't great but it could've been a whole lot worse and, really, it's on par with vlogs.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Emma's screaming was annoying. Seriously, whenever she did it I had to turn my volume way down, which took me out of the movie at a crucial, suspenseful scene.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The ending was really cool and actually pretty clever in my opinion.

This movie did not let me down, I thoroughly enjoyed it. 4 subliminal Bad Piggies out of 5.

EDIT: Also, this movie brought to my mind a question I should have been curious about from the start: WHY does Slender Man want these kids and what does he do with them? What the hell, Slendy?
