 		I think I'm going to need a walkthrough for this game, because I'm still stuck at the house and have no idea where to go for the "clues" the game wants me to find.

Once you got the note in the bedroom upstairs, go check the gate in the back of the house

I'm assuming you are talking about the prologue ?

 		Well, I wasn't able to buy the game, but I did find a livestream of someone playing it. And I must say, what a brilliant game it is.

For those having difficulty with Level 2 (The Eight Pages), it would seem that one of the best methods is to start with the outside circle and then go the the bathrooms. At the five or six page mark, Mr. Slim starts teleporting, and he can actually appear only steps in front of you. However, he doesn't appear to teleport often. And the bathrooms, it would seem, are actually rather safe -- there are multiple exists in each room, something that was lacking in The Eight Pages.

I know what's causing the issue; that usually happens when an antivirus tries to quarrantine the software (it keeps giving them false positives). If you temporarily disable your antivirus and download it again, it should work.

You have to find the flashlight, 2 letters, and explore the locked upstairs bedroom. You'll then get the next objective. There are also a few extra clues laying around that you don't need to progress the story. (I think, that's what I did at least)

 		Holy shit, the 3rd stage is a new level of terror. When you know who first attacked me, it caught me completely off guard. Apparently the flashlight is of some help in warding him or her off, but I'm still unable to run away. Thankfully attacks don't seem to be fatal most of the time.

Real talk, I spent a few tries just trying to figure out the proxy's attack mechanics and the rules behind them. Sometimes it hobbles you for a bit then you're ok and sometimes it's fatal. Without any sort of health indicator this is troubling me. One try it only took 2 attacks, and the next I got attacked 4 times before dying. Does it have anything to with your proximity to The Slender Man? I freaked out way more than I should have when he popped up as well.

I'm curious as to the identity of the proxy, as characters aren't particularly well defined. Is it Kate? Is it CR? Is the protagonist CR? Am I the anonymous emailer? Eager to get a look at how the last two stages kick things up.

 		Man, that got pretty intense by the end.
Short game, though, and with a very abrupt ending.

Anyone who was terrified by early Marble Hornets entries is going to have a fun time with the fourth stage. Twisted Evil

 		Tried tweeting at Tim for any story info but he won't cough up any answers so here's what I have from the knowledge gained by collecting all the notes and a little bit of a guess.

Serious spoilers! Only read when you have completed the game and want to discuss story theories!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Ok. So one of the notes says that Kate had a childhood friend Lauren. The player character says she recognizes the swing set outside the house and used to play with Kate on them when they were children.

Which leads me to believe, You are playing as Lauren.

Now you notice Kate gets increasingly paranoid and eventually CR comes to save her and they go off into the great unknown together. The ending of the game reveals a recording that shows Kate killed CR. I speculate that...

The Proxy is indeed Kate. She killed CR and burnt him to a crisp. Thus, CR stands for... Charred. Remains.

BOOM.

Makes sense to me.

 		Finally beat the 8 pages bit Very Happy I did it by starting in the field, going through to the middle of the map, then hooking back around the outer edges. Working on second one now. Keep getting to 5 generators before slendy gets me. Saw an awesome bug, very mild spoiler

Slendy and "masky" (I call him melty) both attacked me at the same time, causing me to get flung across the room, and Melty to maul the same spot on the ground for a few minutes. Still got caught by slendy shortly after.

 		Oh man, I can't wait to play this. My craptop can't run it at anything but the lowest settings, so I have to wait until I can play on my boyfriend's Mac.

I just wish the Mac version didn't end up coming out so late since I was refreshing my e-mail like a madwoman on launch day until I had to go to bed, but hey. Tomorrow, there shall be playing!

If anyone has yet to download the game yet, be careful if you're on Chrome. Mine deleted my first download completely since I actually clicked on a HUGE warning ("this file has not been downloaded often and could be dangerous" sorta thing)that was pretty much covering the whole download in Chrome instead of opening the file. The file didn't even pass through the recycle bin; it just poofed out of existence. I was sad. :/
