[TRIVIA] Cryptic Language Hint (nullam est)

For Document #28, the cryptic text ( http://www.little-boxes.net/archives/KnowledgeBase/script_print_document.php?data_id=28 ):
Code:

Nullam est. Etiam nulla purus, volutpat sit amet, lacinia sed, consequat vel, neque. Fusce at orci.

It is created by the user "deleted." The other post created by "deleted" is document #45, "Locusts." ( http://www.little-boxes.net/archives/KnowledgeBase/script_print_document.php?data_id=45 ) The only thing unordinary about the Locusts post is after looking at the HTML, you can find some unusual CSS tags. I'm assuming the style sheet in question is located at http://www.little-boxes.net/archives/stylesa.css .

First:
Code:
<span class=Anomalysubmitted>

This tag is seemingly unnecessary because there is no class called Anomalysubmitted in stylea.css. Obviously a clue.

Second:
Code:
<span style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-font-family: SimSun; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: ZH-CN; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA">

This is far more interesting. I don't know much about CSS and languages, but I'm thinking this could help decode the weird text in doc #28.

Sorry if this has been posted already!

In the updates someone translated the Latin and it is horrible Latin that the user used in sending the mail. Take a look at the translation. there.

Isn't the text just lorum ipsum? Nonsense language?

People were wondering that but then looking closer at it people didn't see much of a resemblance.

The second string appears to be taken from:

actually there are a ton of sites that use that same string...in fact, its because it is something left over from Microsoft Word when you do Save As Webpage...

so..

nevermind, nothing to see here Wink

well at least we know that's what they're using

Has anybody tried actually looking at the page when you have the SimSun font installed?

following lipsum post for a clue?

http://www.lipsum.com/

Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance.

Maybe when Beth gets on the chat again someone should ask her about
file # 28....

Well...if we do that, we would be telling her that we've hacked into her password-protected research archives...

Also, the Simsun articles are the first three that were put up, so I'm thinking she just used a different program to make those and then changed her mind or something...

Maybe someone should first ask her for access? We know that there's a guest account, Beth's account, and Phil's account, she could set up an account for one of us... then we could ask her about event #28...

Yeah you're right, forgot about that.
Sometimes it's hard to keep track of the things we're supposed to know...

We could, though, ask about the file #s, why some of the numbers are missing, and why the files start at #45.....

No, cause the site is down, but I can tell you, that SimSun is, IMHO, a quite ugly font, but it is not a graphic-font, or what you call it. Dingbat, isnt it?
