I'm leaning towards this more. Not that we'll have no idea, but that our theories are going to be able to stand on their own merit.There won't be a ton of rock solid answers. This genre i famous for that. People are still discussing what really happened in Silent Hill 2 and House of Leaves, for example. I don't think this will be a ton different. Some questions will be answered, but most of them will be up for debate, or answered in a very vague way.

The entire series is a mystery and I'm hoping it'll end like that with some questions never answered.

If it wasn't for entry 65 I would have doubted intentional harmful motives from The Operator. For all we knew, everything that happens when he appeared was an unintentional side effect. But entry 65 proves he hates Tim

Please elaborate on "the operator was supposed to be behind her in her room." Do you mean behind her while she is talking to him (J)?

THIS THIS THIS. Not only does this come into play with that footage we got of alex at his birthday (when he was a kid), but it comes into play with the whole mythos. Doesn't slendy have a thing for watching kids? Maybe they were all watched..?

There are still huge flaws with this childhood theory.

1. The operator was edited into enttry 37 (he appears right where someone is sitting), he wasn't actually there.

2. Tim/Alex/everyone didn't grow up together, they just went to college together. This can be inferred from the fact that Alex was doing his movie for school, and that jay calls him a "college friend" in the introduction. Also Tim says he met Alex through Brian. The odds of the operator following a select few people and them all meeting later on in life is too coincidental to be believable.

3. Alex was fine before the summer of 2006 (people that knew him said they noticed a change in him, and even Jay claims that he noticed Alex getting more paranoid and angry all the time), whereas Tim was not. The only proof we have is that Tim was in some way connected with the operator as a child through his medical records. Alex's connection came later, and like Tim says himself, was most likely targeted as a result of Tim's presence

Unless they give us more to work with, there's really no reason to believe anyone but Tim was affected as a child. Jessica's dream was just a dream, after all. Dreams aren't memories. At best they piece together bits of memories but never actually represent the scenarios that happened regarding those memories. Totheark even makes the claim that Jay is the reason Jessica is involved, as does Alex (both of which are more "in the know" than anyone else)

This is literally all Amy's fault. But that makes me sort of wonder, Why didn't alex destroy the camera?

so you now know the inner workings of what TO can and can't do? What is achieved by placing him there. The video was saying "you've been watched for a long time." That wouldn't make sense if they had had him photoshopped in.

In the Season 2 DVD commentary they said TO was behind her, they put a cutout of him in the room... But the shadow/silhouette just wasn't visible in the entry.

I can't see it.
The first one sort of looks like he's grinning, but other than that, they all seem to have blank expressions.
The blurring makes it hard to tell.

I don't get why you guys try to analyze the blurry/distorted pictures of people

You will never figure out who it is for a fact. It's not even worth the time trying to figure out who it is. They distort them to the point where they don't want you to be able to figure out who it is.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy that they're in the videos, but some of you guys are spending way too much of your free time trying to prove it's one or the other when you never will be able to

The best shot you will get at identifying things is the pictures in inquiry. IIRC we found out two out of the four were alex and tim.

SURE: The riddles mostly are directed to the main cast (Alex/Tim/Jay) but it's obviously there for the viewers to solve them

Hence why I referenced the distorted face pictures and not anything else. It's fine to do it at first, but this is a good amount of time after the video came out and people are still saying "that looks like so and so" - if it's not obvious at first than your claim that it looks like so and so is just a pointless opinion

And look I get that some people enjoy talking about stuff like that. It's just repetition at this point in my eyes though, and I keep getting dissapointed when I come in here only to read the same thing I read days ago over and over
