I don't agree with the folk griping about the gang finding more tapes. This is the season where we finally get answers, so a return to the locales of season 1 was always on the cards, and ultimately there were only two ways we could ever get answers about what happened in season 1: either we got more tapes, or someone sat down and spend most of an entry just talking through stuff like a big confession. I know which I'd prefer (taaaaapes).

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It'll be fun to see whether Troy and crew try to recapture a season 1 vibe with these tapes.

Hehe, yeah.

So yeah, new tapes found, all of them burned, but at least 2 might be salvageable.

So, perhaps more of the original filming of "Marble Hornets" (maybe Sarah might make a cameo appearance Wink).

I'm so glad they included The Static Hole in the plot. I was worried it might be forgotten and I'd be wondering about it's secrets long after MH would be over...

In an OOG interview, they claimed that most plot points were made up as they go along, but I don't think that discounts things that SEEM random at the beginning but become relevant - Other unexplained things from the beginning that have been mentioned, such as Alex speaking about the whole crew being gone, may in fact turn out the be the most important parts of the plot.

To all of those griping about the tapes, I don't understand why you bother to whine. I thought this was a discussion board, not a "I hate how ALL SLENDER MYTHOS STORIES WORK" board. The idea started by MH behind all of the slender mythos is the idea of the self - documenting style. Finding more tapes really shouldn't be a surprise with all of the unexplained mysteries in the previous seasons.

This is a lot for me being new to the forums, but I've been lurking (is that the right term even when I'm off reddit?) and I decided to finally venture my input.

Now that I think of it, the bullet casing can be explained as just plain foreshadowing and warning that Alex owns a gun.

Good entry! Loving the foreshadowing and the use of the Statis Hole.

But can someone please answer this: Where the hell is that fountain thing from because I can't remember ever seeing it.

Does anyone know where the entry that Alex says everyone is "gone" fits into the timeline?

Possibly Entry 13? I think the building was knocked down or something and that was left. The material looks similar.

Yup, http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=j-YEsCFM100#t=62s

The fountain appears for a second at 1:03

I'm fairly certain it was either 16 or 22. It was definitely 22, just checked the wiki.

Here's the side by side comparison.

I think it's confirmed. The fountain in Entry #69 is the same (or at least similar in style) as in Entry #13

Hi Slendy.

I agree that it's the same. It looks more worn down in #13, I guess they've washed it after that, as well as tidying up the place, it seems.

From looking at the footage from 69, I think Jay's standing on the other side of the fence. Looking at the angles and such.

Man, this takes me back. When the static hole that seemed to be an infamous red herring on here actually was revealed to contain those tapes... I literally said "Oh my God" out loud. THAT is brilliant. The best part is that the 2-3 of them that could still work would have footage from way back when. Probably some good stuff, since they're the ones Alex actually went about burning.
