Been staring myself sick at all those frames of trees... As far as I can tell there is nobody there following them.

--- This was an awesome Entry
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I WANTED TO SEE SOME SEASON 1 RELATED STUFF FOR A GOOD WHILE
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Also Getting the video from that DV tape will take a GOOD while. Because he took a nice while fixing a tape that only had dirt in it. How long will it take to savage a tape buried for years and also burned?
Overall GREAT ENTRY!

Since these were the tapes Alex tried to get rid of first, these might have more incriminating footage like #51. It might explain what happened to Sarah and why Alex said Jay was "gone".

Nobody mentioned Jay seeing things yet, so yeah. Jay having hallucinations.
Same kind of hallucinations as Tim had in the hospital or..?
I noticed that. As Jay then pointed out, you can't see anything; the camera doesn't linger and Jay hides inside the tower too quickly to see anything.
That's the thing though; The place he supposedly saw it was in the camera shot, and there are quite a few frames that can be checked on. He was definitely seeing things, then I'd presume he was trying to talk himself into believing he wasn't seeing things.

I can appreciate the return to the season one park, but for real? It's starting to get really stupid how the plot device of choice every time something needs progressed is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
more tapes.
Could nothing else be done to move things forward?

I hope this will explain more of hoody and/or TTA's story, along with the holes in the footage timeline

Holy crap.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
THE STATIC HOLE IS IMPORTANT. I admit defeat in this matter.
I'm okay with more tapes. The mystery is really rooted in the past. How do we look at the past? Haunted death tapes. XD

Anyways, with these new tapes being found, it opens a door several different possibilities. Maybe Alex saw even worse things from the Operator on these tapes. I dunno, I just wanna see a video of Oppy putting one of his flipper-hands over Alex's shoulder showing that he is it's slave.
Hopefully we get some answers soon, and MH doesn't go all Lost on us.

Great entry! Looking forward to seeing some close-to-the-bone origin footage. It'd be pretty awesome to have a throwback to the very first entries.
As for this one, though... I, too, have played a fun frame-by-frame game of 'spot the guy in the trees', and haven't seen a damn thing.
We cannot deny, however, that there was indeed a bit of audio static as he looked out of the tower. So calling it hallucinations seems a bit presumptuous - the static has always been a pretty reliable indicator in the past. We'll just have to wait and see.

Well, Jay DID specifically say they didn't capture anything on tape. It could be, well, not quite a red herring but something (possibly) sinister we just don't see during this entry. Not everything needs to be visible to be scary/threatening.
Not a huge fan of the tapes bit, but this means we'll be moving plot along more. Hopefully we'll get more soon.

I don't see the problem.
This is important, and has been plot relevant since "Introduction".
You can't call bullshit on it at Entry #69 . Besides, this is really neat. We're get to see the footage that Alex tried to burn . And you people are *complaining*? I mean sure, the tapes thing? That's a trope of the series. But you do have to agree that this is part of what started the series as a whole, which will hopefully provide answers as to what actually HAPPENED at the MH shoot. I think it's really neat what they're doing, and I don't think any complaints about it as a plot device at this point can be considered legitimate, considering how exactly they placed it-- it's not *just* another tape they found.

I wonder who Jay could've seen?
I looked at the frames too and I even overlapped the part where he saw him/her with the part where he didn't see anyone, paying close attention to where he pointed, and I didn't see anyone.
It sounds like Jay doesn't even know the gender of the person since he used "They" instead of "He" or "She".
I thought it was Hoody at first, but the fact that he/she didn't show up on camera is a bit odd.

Has anyone else made the time travel connection? We've always assumed that there's some sort of time travel and or alternate universe thing going on. What if at some point in the future, someone went into the past and burned the original tapes that Alex gave Jay? Now the only tapes that work are the ones that were too corrupted to originally play when Jay had them, what with the missing audio and whatnot... Oh dear, I've gone cross eyed.

I wonder if maybe Jay put those tapes there during his 7 month gap or during the other times he doesn't remember. We do know Alex was going to burn the tapes, but gave them to Jay (though I will admit maybe he didn't give ALL of them to Jay). Perhaps while Jay was reviewing the tapes, he came across these ones. Maybe these were the "worst" tapes, and Jay felt the need to get rid of them.
Operator-induced memory loss could easily be the explanation for why Jay wouldn't remember they were there.
My other thought is maybe these are tapes from stuff Jay doesn't want to remember and for whatever reason, tried burning them himself.
Basically I just can't see Alex NOT being thorough enough to make sure the tapes were destroyed or completely unwatchable.

I'm dissapointed that the holes aren't something more , like TO's relation to water is, etc., but I'm so glad the plot will be moving forward now.
Also loving the fact that there may have been two people following them when Masky is crossed off that list.
I take it back. Seems like it was just Hoody or Alex. They make it pretty specific at the beginning of the conversation that the 'Someone' and 'They' are in reference to just 1 guy.
