 		Just a thought. Suppose totheark follows Jay around and knows how to cause distortion on his camera. He can then leave Jay clues by causing distortion at just the right time. In that case in Entry #21 totheark could have been giving Jay a huge clue with the hole, which Jay just didn't pick up on. That could have saved everyone a lot of time if he'd just payed a little more attention.

 		Or maybe Jay really did cut the person out of the frame accidentally. I wouldn't be so hasty to chalk it up to paranoia yet. Jay didn't even seem particularly paranoid this entry, when he first thought he saw something he was pretty quick to dismiss it as just a bird.

That is a neat idea...now to wonder if--if you're right--TO also has or can have similar effects, and at what points it was TO and what points it was Hoody/TTA...

 		I made a quick .gif comparing the two frames from when Jay looked out and saw nobody to when he saw someone.
This is about the same direction where he pointed.

I can understand your point about ghost and what not, but if we're speaking strictly within the fiction here, then this is a new occurrence. In the past, when Jay has thought he'd seen something, there was something. When he thought there was someone there, there was. Or there was at least evidence of it in some visual capacity. Distortion doesn't really have any set rules within the universe. Slender Man causes it, people cause it, yelling causes it, locations cause it. The distortion could have simply been the red tower or the forest, or the general presence of The Slender Man. But I wouldn't say it necessarily means someone was right where Jay was looking.

Plus, the Entry seems designed around discrediting Jay here and creating doubt. The lack of visual evidence in spite of adequate shots showing the specific spot where he thought he saw something, only to dismiss it afterwards as "being out of frame." The fact that they actually made a point to stop and check the tape, something that hasn't happened before, seems a strong enough hint to me that our hapless protagonist might be a bit strung out and paranoid.

 		We know Jay is hallucinating because they made it a point to show Tim hallucinate and then mention it afterwards to Jay in conversation as well. Jay's showing signs of getting to that "next level" of sickness

And on the note of Jay and Tim hiding and then posting this broadcasting where they are got me thinking. How far are College Town and Rosswood town from each other? If they're far enough apart maybe Jay and Tim believe they can investigate enough to find something and then get the hell out of town before Alex and TO arrive, OR, maybe they purposely showed where they are to draw everyone (TTA, Hoodie, Alex, TO, anyone else) to College Town for the "final battle" so to speak.

 		This combined with the way Slender the Arrival ended is really making me wonder how Jay's gonna get out of this one with his sanity intact or if he's gonna get out of it at all.

It could have just been "Slendy Sickness", though. If the camera distorts when Alex gets angry, it could very well distort when Jay is hallucinating from over-exposure to the Operator.
