 		For the people who don't like the found footage trope, I honestly think this is one of the best ways they could go about it. This isn't Hoodie or someone else leaving them tapes and spoon feeding them evidence for once, this is just a stroke of dumb luck, which happens in life. Some of the tapes just happened to survive the fire.

Also, as other people have said, since these tapes were actually burned, they must hold some pretty incriminating stuff. Although i can't help but wonder why Alex held on to entry 51. Why not burn it?

Also, I love how Jay was all genre savvy at the end of 68 by not giving away their location, and now he totally just gave it away. Razz Although i suppose they could have left the area already, it's been a month since entry 68 was posted.

Anyway, the hole was a lame plot device for two reasons: Why would there be static in season 1 but not season 3? Are we really expected to believe that Jay would put his foot in the one place in that woods that held all those tapes?

On the other hand, it's a neat idea that Alex would have two sets of tapes: one bad enough that he would burn right away, and one not so bad that he'd consider giving to another person. It makes whatever is on those tapes really really awful.

Overall a pleasant entry, although I do feel they burned through so many season 1 locations in one go. On the other hand we have clues about the real life location of the gazebo now, since we know what the surroundings look like. Who's good at google maps?

EDIT: Also take a close look at 3:13. It's the same location as in Exit.

Yeah, an interesting development, here. Although nobody showed up on camera, there WERE distortions when Jay thought he saw somebody. Something strange is afoot!

Edit: To speak a little more coherently, what if this mystery person ties in with Alex's drawings? Jay said he thought he saw someone watching him, back in season 1 Jay found that note of Alex's that said "SEES ME AT THE TOWER". Connection?

Yes because they're haunted woods. :p

I like this. It drives home that the whole premise of this series was a setup orchestrated by Alex. He never intended Jay to burn those tapes, they were important for leading them into this mess! Their content was probably explicitly curated to generate the reaction that Jay had. But some of the tapes that made Alex look bad, he kept...so HOW incriminating will these new tapes be? Tapes that make him look so bad, he really did burn them?

Very incriminating or extremely incriminating? I can't decide which!

 		Right before Jay trips look a little to the right of the center of the screen, I see a black figure; the trip has all the trademarks of oppy (Fuzzy screen, physical stumble) and its not that hard to believe it was caused by him: The two of them discovering those tapes is no accident. Think about the probability: Tim and Jay said the holes were annoying and everywhere, Jay just so happened to trip over this one after being so cautious? I think its more than mere coincidence that the screens disorients right as Jay trips. I think Oppys got something for us on there.

They were tripping over holes on their way out, the notorious hole was pretty much right in the path begging to be tripped in, and it appears to be the hole nearest the red tower, which would make it somewhat less random an event.
