They stated shortly after the movie was announced that it would not interfere or be directly tied to the series.

IIRC I don't even think the MH team is involved at all.

Also this probably could've gone in the original movie or ending threads.

Also, you did not need to start an entire thread just to post that. There are already threads for discussing speculation about the end of the series or the movie.
