[OT] Scariest moments from Marble Hornets
What do you think is the scariest moment in the entire series?

I apologize if there was already a thread about this, but I couldn't find one so if there is it most certainly died a long time ago.

For me, the scariest moment by far is from Season 1 when Jay was investigating the house TTA directed him to (I think it was Brian's but I'm not 100% positive). The point where he turns the camera...and we see Timasky just sitting there. Not moving, not threatening, just relishing his creepiness. Then, without warning...ATTACK!

Seriously, when he jumped up and ran towards the camera I just about had a heart attack. For me, that remains the scariest moment of the entire series.

What about everyone else?

Entry 6, when he does his little window peeping.
Entry 19(?) When masky turns into a bat and chills on the dresser and then appears right in out faces!

The first appearance of Timasky. When he's sitting on the couch in the room at the end of the hall. I was nervous when I saw him sitting there then he moved and the way he moved was like an animal. It looked like he even went on all fours for a second.

I have to agree. This moment had my adrenaline flowing.

Agreed. This was such an unexpected moment.
Everything in the creepy boiler room/basement freaks me out. The location is just so inexplicably terrifying to me.

Our masked pal's big return in season two is a good combo of a scary moment and one I was happy to see. I jumped out of my seat when that hand came around the door.

Scariest Operator moments for me would have to be the one where Alex is poking around the pool house (? whatever that building is where he finds the symbol) and Mr. Slim is suddenly RIGHT THERE. His recent appearance at Alex's place is waaaay up there on the list too.

Hotel room masky

I think it's when Masky shows up in the hotel room, when Jay is getting the vids from the safe and thinks Jessica is in the other room.

You know, just know that something bad's going to happen. And it's when Masky puts his hand on the door, and puts his fingers around it to grip one by one.... that little flourish with the hand is just creepy as f**k. Very Happy

Oh god, Entry 26 when the operator is walking towards the camera. and then in entry 46 when the operator pops up twice.

Besides those (actually 46 fits into this) the jump scares always get me, like when Masky pops out from the closet. 14 made me very paranoid and had me shaking until the end when I was like, Alex should not finger paint.

Also the above moment is probably my favorite one in the series

For me, its not exactly the scariest moment, but the most memorable moments, and the moments that define Marble Hornets as I see it, are the original season one tapes of Slendy in Alex's House, when he's sneaking past the windows. I don't know why but those scenes always creeped me out horribly.

Then of course there is just any time when you can see The Operator hanging around in the background but no one seems to notice him. Its not a "OH SHIT" fear, its more a kind of lurking horror of "He could be anywhere and I wouldn't see him until it was much too late."

EDIT: Oh and the moment when Tim/Masky is just in Jay's bedroom fucking with the Camera. Again the idea of some one being here while I sleep just scares the hell out of me.

Also sorry for not rembering the entry numbers, its late for me and the only thing keeping me awake is energy drink at this point.

entry 22/end of 23 is overall the scariest imo, with TTA's "return" shortly behind

26 was pretty scary towards the end
43's ending creeped me out

46 made me jump when the op is in the house

Jump scares to me always seem a bit cheap, but I suppose they are used to good effect in MH, with the fact that they spend AGES building up tension before hand. Masky's apperence always tend to be really sodding scary as far as I am concerned.

mask guy's sudden appearance (~1:46) in Entry 23 nearly made me soil myself the first time I saw it.

When Masky appeared in Jays house. And 19.5 - The part about bullet casing. "Or it was taken"... This always comes to my mind when I'm trying to sleep. And of course 1-st and 6-th entries.

That part actually made me lol when I saw it, and I didn't see it until I got the DVD because my computer was dumb. It's just kind of cute that he's peeking behind the door.
