Got an email from Mark:

Actually came in yesterday but I missed it.

Okay, so it was definitely what we were searching for, because April took it away. (When i just saw it in the first video, I tought it might be a bone, but it really just is a stick...). Why is that twig so important?

Yup, i guess thats the twigs we looking for, not sure what we are supposed to help tom with honestly... i tried steg on the images but either my programme is screwing up or nothing is in them.

we dont have a password or anything we are looking for it seems

Maybe it becomes clearer, when we have the scans of all the books...

Tom edited the post about the books to (possibly?) draw our attention to the Mysticism, True and False book specifically. I can't find much about the author, Dom Savinien Louismet, other than he was a Benedictine monk from Devon, England who wrote a lot about mysticism and acted as abbot of Buckfast Abbey for a few months in 1902.

A couple things that stand out from the marginalia itself:

Quote:
It tends you like a fig tree, but if you do not bear fruit . . .

Assuming the "it" is whatever is haunting/manipulating Graham and April, it seems to want them to do something, to bear fruit, but what?

Quote:
None of these protected him when it came for him.

Referring to the Sacraments. Who's the "him"? Graham's father? Some other victim of the thing in the Culverts?

Tom uploaded the scans of another book

They all seem to point towards sacrifice, another word stands out in this one

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
WANTED
Maybe it will be another password

Edit: He put ANOTHER up too, so all in all we have 3 books

Again, sacrifice and fear are highlighted - also the illustration of the nagas and animals marked "You" is a bit worrying

New book scans on Toms Blog! http://uncannyanduncovered.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/the-books-part-iv.html

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
There is a list of numbers on the first page. What could those stand for? Pagenumbers? Also on that page is written "you WANTED answers". All thoses 3 words can be found seperately on different pages, Ameliċ pointed out "you" and "WANTED" already, "answers" can be found in the 4th book page 114. But what does that tell us?

Also: The last book on page 126 and also the note there mentions a wand, that is used in the month of April. Could that twig April found be a wand?

.
Since 'WANTED' is so prominent that list of numbers (23 144 114 86 86 112 167 6 55 72 122 123 139 48 182 155 95 109 52 154 173 132 132 11) may correspond to either letters or words substitutions on the 1.3 (WANTED) scan below. My excuses for being too RL rushed to check this theory out further atm. Cyas...

I doubt he counted every word on the page, let alone every letter, but I took a sample from the first 100 chars and gave letter sub-ing a go anyway and got the vowels "E-O-E" right next to each other, which doesn't seem very linguistically plausible.

I'll have to have a closer look later when I'm free.

TY. Of course the letters found could be a cipher string, possibly Vigenére, needing the keyword (Spring), the only word underlined on the 'Answers' scan.

That would change E-O-E alot. I'll be home & on my comp after midnight. Will work on it then.

If it helps my cursory look found:

23 = H
86 = A
86 = A
6 = E
55 = O
72 = E
48 = H
52 = I
11 = B

But it's going to take a lot of work to get the rest without a digital text copy Sad
The numbers look more like page-related references, but it's still pretty obtuse to me. We may have to prod Mark Marcusson some more...

Geek and Dunce me thinking we already had all the info. Tom just uploaded The Books - Part V with the necessary letters circled.

Not spoilering what I've found b/c Page #109 eludes my tired eyes & there may be a mistake in "Was et water south. Co. UK (?109?) spring"

pg.109 is a rather comically large circled forward slash, as in the letters (and circled dots) seem to spell:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
wastewatersouth.co.uk/spring

only that leads to nothing. Even when you suffix a .php .htm or .html to it. *shrug*

Aha moment! It was right there in front of us:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
http://wastewatersouth.co.uk/earrach.php brings you to a password prompt, earrach being the Gaelic word for spring from The Supernatural Highlands.

Now what's the pw?
