OH MY GOD!!!
What an... interesting set of developments!
Excuse me now, I've got to go put some ice on my jaw. I hurt it when it dropped so hard.

Wow! HCRD.org is gone now, too.
Reading all this new stuff ... what a surprise, holy cow!
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
So Craig was an investigator after all, and Harker teamed up with him in the end. Very well-written scene with Craig asking to be shot. I actually feel sorry for him. Somehow they went back in time, I guess. And Meg and John are happy together, that's awesome! Poor ol' Jakey died in a 'car accident', boo freakin' hoo. I wonder if he was evil or just mentally ill. I wonder how Harker managed to cause his death from a so-called medical "blockage."
When I logged in to Craig's new desktop, there were 4 voice messages but I didn't know how to check 'em. Meg's preggers ... with a glow like a "halo" around her. This time her baby's not the AntiChrist, maybe it's the messiah! LOL!
Well, I kinda wish we had more of a role in the happy ending, and I hope this wasn't a last-minute change because of the grumbling from players. But it's still good to see that things resolved themselves despite our mistakes, LOL.
Cannot WAIT for that chat!!!
EDITED to add that I loooove this from Meghan's blog:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If I were a Buddhist I would almost believe that I have been through some hellish past lives, because this one is going so well.
LOL!!! Great work, PMs. Nice tip of the hat.

I'm probably breaking some UF forum rules for this post. But I'm doing it for the benefit for those who missed the endgame and NOT to promote another site. Mods/admin fire away if you must...
Many of the in-game sites have changed 2-3 times over the weekend. For those who were not around to witness it first hand, trying to piece together what happened at endgame may be difficult. So here it is all in one place, what happened during endgame:

An Amazing ending... First off a thank you to all of the PM's for an amazing job. The faux ending with Jake dropping his pants and telling everyone to pucker up was just the right and unexpected plot twist this twisted story needed.
Then to read that
Quote:
The plan was to tweak it ever so slightly and keep Jake from ever becoming a threat.
only to learn that he dies in a car accident I am really glad he decided not to do anything major. But to take this and tie it all together with a happy ending damn fine writing, damn fine story telling, and more than anything a good time.
Thank you!!!!

my perfect ending In my fanfict ending: Becker goes to jail broke and discredited by Harker; Jake ends up caught between two timelines for eternity; Frank feels a sort-of compassion for Meg and starts to love her a little, realizes she's the cure for his loneliness and marries her (the baby gets an exorcism I guess, don't know what to do with that complication); John moves to New York where I run into him in a club in SoHo doing silly magic tricks for bored girls who fail to recognize his quality...
hmm, I have to admit that people in my real life are concerned about my involvement in this game and my feelings for John, now maybe I can use that to get them to take me places and buy me stuff!! (just kidding, just an example of the power of information, I am lucky enough to earn more than enough money for my family here - I realize that people who I don't get to chat with lurk here and don't want people to get the completely wrong idea about me, geez, I broke my never explain rule again, see it never works.)
hey, at least I laughing now! I thought I would be weeping forever.
and, btw MrDoug, I heart you and your haiku and stuff, but your avatar scares me (how long does it take to get over the kick-out sites??)

Kudos and a request... Thanks to everyone involved for another wonderful ARG. It was a pleasure to be a part of (even when only lurking.) The PM's and players alike are a truely interesting and fun group of people.
The part of the game I misssed was the final "control" puzzle. Would it be possible for someone to post (or if too large e-mail me) any or all of:
http://www.nru.us/control/shiningandfusing.php

http://www.nru.us/control/tertius.swf

(and anything else involved.)
Thank you.

Can I second that - I went to bed just before shiningandfusing was solved, I think, so a look at those pages would be great. I know the info on the solves is on Collective Detective, but I'd love to see the actual pages.
TIA
EDIT for grammar - me being fussy. Really must try to be less anal about the odd word here or there.

I setup a subdomain with the endgame NRU website and puzzle for your further enjoyment. Once it propagates, you'll find it at http://endgame.nru.us/
