In season 1 TO looks a lot more human. It moves/is person sized, ect.
ANd then later it looks more alienish and out-of-place. That might just be a continuity error, but who knows? Maybe it gets bigger and more powerful when it has fear to feed off of.

In #80 and #82 he looks more "physical" again. But you're right. With season 2 he started to look more like "CGI" - or rather edited in by post-production.

in entry 80 it looks kind of not human and really tall when it reaches out to jay but that might just be because jay was on the ground??? idk

I think it's partly that and also partly the nature of the distortion captured on Jay's camera (which is actually Hoody's camera). I thought it looked pretty realistic for all that. It's a capture of a paranormal manifestation, so it should look kind of off.

yeah...i'm trying to think of other times where it looked "off." it looks kind of like it's supposed to be there in a lot of entries, like it's actually super realistic. but in the entry where tim and jay break into alex's old house and jay puts the camera on the window sill and TO is just..there? it looks almost like someone took a picture of the field and printed it out and drew TO in and scanned it into the video.

Entry 60 (if memory serves) is 100% pure nightmare fuel TO appearance. That little tunnel... you hoped so desperately he wouldn't fit...

I thought Entry #72 was one where it looked more realistic and was more frightening, personally.

I thought this was a better place to discuss this.

I'm always happy to get things confirmed, though this is a kind of flimsy confirmation that Brian is Hoody. The thing is, I feel like this entry wasn't much of a payoff. I mean, knowing who TTA (probably) is is good, but I think it's more important to know why he is than who he is. And we got no explanation for the years of scary, cryptic videos at all. I hope they're just saving that for upcoming entries.

On the other hand, someone referred to #84 as a 'calm before the storm' entry, and in that respect I agree. I fully believe something big's going to happen next entry.

Entry 84 just left me feeling confused. Why so much build-up for such a casual reveal of something that most of us already figured out a long time ago? If this is yet another fake-out, I don't get it. Why did we watch Brian read terrible dialogue, but not Tim? Tim seriously didn't apply process of elimination to Hoody's identity at any point?

My guess is that he'd probably thought Brian was dead and taken. Of course, all we have is Tim's word, and he still may not be 100% trustworthy.

Maybe it's something to do with the fact that IG, from their perspective, applying fiction logic like "It has to be someone we already know with good character development because otherwise it would be a cheap twist" would be ridiculous, and thus, since there's actually less reason IG to believe Seth and Sarah to be dead than Brian and no reason to be absolutely sure Hoody's anyone they know at all, process of elimination can't be applied?

But didn't the characters watch their own entires and the TTAs? Have they never bothered to think that "this hooded guy", who also shows up in those TTA videos, know alot about the MH production, Alex, and TO? Is it believable that they never have thought "Well, could e be one of the ex-crew members?"

I mean, they must have wondered about #45, #67 and some other stuff. Did a thought like "Look Tim, once you go insane, the hooded figure seems to be your friend. Maybe you know him?" not even crossed their mind?

I mean, they stumble around and point their camera at stuff. But since they were trying to find out what is going on, I believe it is reasonable to assume that they actually have thought about what is going on.

So, again, like in the past couple of entries, I assume that Tim is lying and witholding/editing out information, because otherwise, I feel I had to blame some subpar writing to this.

Ascalondion hit the nail on the head. An in-universe perspective makes it even more likely that it must be Brian. All of this time, they have not come across anyone else who was involved in this that wasn't either IN Marble Hornets or got dragged into it from someone who was. That makes it incredibly unlikely that ToTheArk is some random outsider who just happens to have so much familiarity with the student film, & interest in the people who were in it.

There's also the Builds Argument, which people keep saying that we can't use, but makes perfect sense for the characters to use in-universe. Presumably, in universe, Hoody has the same body type as whoever is supposed to be in that costume. The fact that Hoody was often so big & stocky led me to believe that it couldn't have been Sarah or Jessica. Surely this would be even more true for Tim, who didn't have to account for the fact that his build kept mysteriously changing.

As for assuming that Brian is dead, that would be understandable to a degree, but you would also think that Tim would have noticed that he, Jay, & Alex have all escaped from some pretty hairy situations themselves. Speaking of his past experiences setting an example, Tim knows that he sometimes goes all crazy & starts guest starring in ToTheArk videos, & Hoody just happens to need the exact same medicine that he does.
