Asked her on facebook if her grandma knew anyone else named Alice, might have been a step in the right direction.

/update: I also suggested to her that she checks her teddy bear for any hidden items, let's see if that yields any results.

ETA - suppose there is any chance that trunk has a false bottom?

The picture of the erased person has russian on a poster in the background, maybe its Vasilyev(sp?) other than that, the only weird thing is I have that same rolly polly ball to in a trunk at my grandma's house Shocked

kinda freaked me out...

EDIT: It is Vasilyev, found this in Rowan's guide

under "unknown Persons identified"
