I am here on out lowering my expectations for the series. I'm convinced they either don't put enough time into planning these entries out, or they just really think that subpar entries like this will be enough to satisfy viewers. How could they not want to spend more time to make an entry like this actually worthwhile?


I don't disagree, but you have to think that for where it fits chronologically and how those were filmed it makes sense in that regard.

We can only hope that some big wtf entries are on the way soon though, i don't know how much tension they can keep building


I'm not complaining about the chronology. I'm complaining about the blandness of it, and how they keep rehashing things that could be inferred from other entries. Obviously Alex knew about the operator during filming. Entry #4 even shows his lack of knowledge of what it can do, he tries to chase it in that entry.

The part that annoys me the most is that NONE OF THE DIALOGUE PROVIDES ANY NEW INFORMATION. We know alex moved in with amy when he finished shooting and we know alex is capable of lying. They keep wasting their time filling in blanks that they don't need to, these things are easily inferred.

I totally agree. I can't exactly put my finger on it either, but I think it's the way that his limbs curve out instead of point down from his body. He looks less like a man and more like a weird bug. He also doesn't move anymore, which makes him less scary.
I suspect that the current operator is added digitally in post, and the old one was a prop of some sort, but that's just speculation.

I thought he said specifically that they didn't have a mannequin. I interpreted that as they didn't dress up a store window mannequin, but may have made something similar themselves. I could be wrong though.

Except alex confirms that he sent the tape to Jay. Which is a plot hole in itself because Amy had the camera, and he said he didn't see her again after she jumped out of the window. I could give a hundred reasons why Amy being totheark won't make sense


Yeah, I don't think Alex is exactly someone who you can trust, he easily could have lied to try to gain Jay's trust.


Alex met Jay at the return address. There's your proof.

Do not tell me he could have eaisly intercepted the package and saw the return address. That's not even plausible.

You know, I saw that as intentional parallelism between Alex and Jay, which is pretty interesting to think about.

I liked this entry. I agree that romantic!Alex is very creepy in its own way, and seeing Alex attempt a slendytackle was pretty awesome as well.

Or, gee, maybe that was intentional, showing a correlation between Jay and Alex?

Also, unless I completely missed something, Alex didn't confirm directly that he sent the tape; everyone's been inferring it for a long time, but all he mentions is that Jay wasn't hard to find. We don't have the rest of that conversation.

That's still not proof. Alex could have been following Jay, or less likely Tim.

 		Well this is my first time participating in this...but I only have one idea/theory for this entry, most have been mentioned already.

- In this entry (which is very early on in the series), when The Operator is caught on camera, the distortions are weak. Further down the timeline (closer to today), Slendy's distortions become more powerful. This adds on to the theory that the Operator was weaker back then.
- Another thing, when Alex ran towards Operator, slendy decided to teleport. But when Jay decides to do it, Jay's camera shuts down and the boy is knocked out.
- Could this mean that Operator's power is affected by who he controls? Maybe the more people affected by Slender-Sickness, the more powerful he gets. It's as if TO is a parasite, taking some sort of energy from the affected people. It's possible later on, he uses Alex as a way to get closer to others

Season 1 was the Guy-On-Stilts season. There's a vid on the tube where they're trying 'em out

From season 2 upward, they used a mannequin.

I'm not sure about the size thing, but it should be noted that Alex is significantly taller than Jay, which gives different perspectives for those kind of first person entry

 		I actually regret that I might share some of pravado's disappointments. The series seems to be dragging on in a sequence of anticlimactic story arcs that don't seem to be resolving themselves. I was especially disappointed that entry 66 (where they follow Hoody) didn't really lead anywhere. Now we have yet another character being brought into the mix and probably another long story arc of digging up information on her--breaking into houses, swiping pills and dolls and such. I want to say that there will be some "wtf" moments pretty soon, but given the way things have been going so far, I'm dubious. Prove me wrong, MH.
