Maybe Alex burned the tapes mentioning Amy first so that nobody would be able to find him after he skipped town. He mentioned in at least this tape that Amy's home is where he wanted to go after he was done filming, maybe he got even more specific about the location in the other burned tapes as well. Even after you explain your reasoning, you're still jumping from A to Q on this one.


That's actualy what I edited into my post a few seconds ago. I personally don't think amy is totheark for a multitude of reasons, I was just saying that I could see them doing something like that

If you invested 3 years with something you'd want to see how it progressed. Just because I complain about things doesn't mean I hate all of the entries. There are good ones sprinkled here and there, and those are the ones I keep watching for.

Wouldn't that just further reinforce the idea that Alex didn't send that tape, and previous assumptions to that effect were wrong?

Can't say I could see it. I mean I certainly hope they wouldn't do that, it would make no sense.

Alex sent the tape after his situation changed rather drastically though. The thing he was hiding from found him, and his girlfriend went missing, so his sending that tape as an act of desparation makes sense to me.

I agree with Geneaux that this is likely because it hints about his hiding place. I'd add that he may have other reasons to keep 22 and 51. In 22, he appears to be lying like a rug - he says that people are gone, when either they're not gone or he himself made them gone. So, perhaps, 22 was an alibi or a false confession. 51 he kept himself, suggesting that he may have wanted to watch it later - perhaps as a reminder of his past actions, or a symbol of his commitment to the Operator.

Remember, Entry 26 took place after Jay had already released all of the Marble Hornets tapes, and had already started searching for Alex. The tape burning, meanwhile, most likely took place long before then. Enough changed in that time that it would be entirely reasonable for Alex to rethink his policy of secrecy.

 		Anyways, I thought this entry was great. Reminded me a lot of season one, I'm glad that Jay wrote that this was the same park at the end, i actually didn't recognize it without the ugly ass green light. *chuckle* The operator does appear to be shorter though, which can be explained by OOG:

 		Wait, this does give a reason why Alex moved (the reason Jay started this series) that doesn't involve getting away from TO. Unless he's lying (he's probably lying).

I kind of figured this discussion was for anything relating to the entry, including theory speculation.
So debate about the entry in regards to theory isn't OT.

All evidence points to totheark being one person. Whether they're part of a group or not, whoever holds the account is hoody.

He refers to "me" plenty of times, and even though he says "us" a few times, it doesn't mean that those people are associated with his account, just that he works with other people. Multiple people using the account implies that multiple people know how to edit video that well (which is a little unrealistic). Plus, if it was multiple people, hoody wouldn't be the only one putting up videos and running into jay and tim. We'd have seen someone else by now. Just my 2c
