I've always tried to research names and shit for ARGs, this is about all I can find for the meaning behind "Toi":

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toi_%28Bible%29 (it's either Toi or Tou, depending on translations)

"9 Now when Tou king of Hamath heard how David had smitten all the host of Hadarezer king of Zobah;

10 He sent Hadoram his son to king David, to enquire of his welfare, and to congratulate him, because he had fought against Hadarezer, and smitten him; (for Hadarezer had war with Tou;) and with him all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass."

It's also a Maori name, though I can't find the meaning of it yet. Only other thing of note so far is something called a third-order intercept point, being a "measure for weakly nonlinear systems and devices, for example receivers, linear amplifiers and mixers" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third-order_intercept_point). The receiver part caught my eye, mostly.

I did the same last night, albeit a different wording, and I got a reply this morning in, once again, ASCII.

following that, I found a twitter which is linked to the account.

I'm leaning towards it being either just a misspelling of toy soldier, or a reference (possibly) to the racehorse of the same name. Granted, none of that sounds very relevant to what we know so far, either. Only link i've noticed is that he mentions trying to be the soldier GRACIE wants him to be.

EDIT: toi also means you in french. Also probably not relevant.

I wonder why he always spells GRACIE in all caps? Might be relevant.

Well, his name is Anthony. He's going to Nick's tonight to do "the devils work". I wouldn't be surprised to see another video tonight? Seems to be some religious overtones to this, possibly. He also mentions acts of god.

It's extremely likely that 'Toi Solder' is a reference to the racehorse, considering that his Twitter avatar is a horse's head. [EDIT] In fact, it's that horse's head.
vs.

Also, noticed that the two people mentioned and our protagonist all have saints' names: Anthony, George, and Nick (presumably Nicholas). I'm left wondering if this ties into the religious leanings.

I'm not counting GRACIE as people, because I'm not yet convinced that GRACIE is human.

Nice catches. I agree about GRACIE.

I think "The Bergen Experiment" has to do with Bergen county, NJ. We've already established that this is in NJ.
EDIT: Should have picked up on that earlier, from itookthesquare's post. Whoops!

New tweets:

@SimulacraAlex I have deleted all of the e-mails so that you know who wouldn't find it. There is still a risk that they will find this.

@SimulacraAlex The Bergen Experiment will go on as planned. It has to. I will show you. GRACIE is everything; everywhere. You may help after

So I guess we'll have to wait and see. Patience is not my strongest point. Razz

Tried looking into Toi Soldier (the horse's) past, but there's not a lot to him.

He was born in 1978 and an injury prevented him from being used as a show horse, so instead he was just used for breeding, carrying on his parent's name.
His lineage is part of the Bairactar OA sireline (1813), which is the oldest existing lineage in Poland.
Toi Soldier sired quite a lot of foals (31) but that's about it for his claim to fame, from what I could find.
He died in 2005.

Don't know how any of that relates buuut maybe we'll need it in the future Wink

That's a picture of the Valensole Plain in Provence, France. Link, probably OOG.

Going to try some Steganalysis on the image now, only have GIMP however because mac. If anyone else has anything more powerful, let me know.

EDIT: Yup, definitely OOG...

I'm not finding anything either. I'm not so good with steg anyways, so that doesn't mean much. We do have the original image, so anyone with a windows PC could check the color histogram. However, since it is black and white, I'm not sure how much that would help... Evil or Very Mad

Found some letters in the field. I played around in GIMP but can't make out much. I circled the letters here: http://i.imgur.com/AIPw2g4.jpg

Nice! Here are my histogram findings: (though they're a bit redundant now)

The block at the very start of the graph of the modified image shows something was added. But we already know that, now! Wink

Looks like it might say
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
TO THE WOODS

EDIT: Can't get a good shot, but by playing around in GIMP I can read different letters clearly, individually. Pretty sure that's exactly what it says.
