 		danny was nice to supply a clue for us in chat today. when i asked whether i can have a hint, he answered "010011100110111100101110" which is binary for "No." Didn't sound like a hint but it was.

doing the same with SCAMPATH gives:

Put that pattern into Conway's game of life (hinted by the "game of life" spinner image and "mr. blinky") and run it until it stabilizes (hence the "stabilizes in.." comment in Reggie's blog). It stabilizes in 129 generation leading to the answer http://nru.us/documents/129.jpg

It's a police sketch of the perp in the triple homicide (the 00-I50 is the case number on the 3 incident reports). So I guess if we showed this to caretaker or Meg, they would've recognized it as Jake and we would not have been duped!

Once you found this image, Meg would have popped back into chat and bugged the heck out of you until someone showed her the pic. She would have flipped out completely when she realized and told you it was Jake.

From there, you could have informed Becker via YIM who could have stopped Jake from hopping or you could have chosen to continue helping Jake.


And now you know the rest of the story. Very Happy
